Two papers were due every week. I did not even received one paper back by the end of the semester. She reads them,maybe? I honestly had no idea how I was doing in the class. But, she does take attendance. Has great stories.

Comment:

If you simply want an A with little effort, take this class. If you want to truly learn Sociology, dont take her. She tells lots of stories, so class isnt too strenuous. The exams come straight from the notes, so try to memorize it. Her assignments are really easy, if you do it, you get an A, if you dont, you get an F. Attendance is very important.

Her class is so easy. Her assignments consist of a couple written discussion questions (she gives you more than a week to do) and a small group project (super easy/fun). She does take attendance, but it's cool because her stories are pretty interesting. Her exams=easy. Just memorize the power point slides and you're guaranteed an A.

The semester is about to end and she has not graded single assignment/exam yet. Nobody knows their grade and her only excuse is that there are too many students in the class. She talks like she's the only professor with such a big class size. Also, she never responds to e-mails or anything. I think she should go back to her prison guard job!

I honestly hate this professor. Studying for her exams is very confusing because she is completely vague when it comes in terms of studying for her exams: For instance whether you should study just the notes or both her lecture notes and the book. And honestly I don't understand anything she says in class. AVOID HER!!!!!!!!

She's makes class fun by telling alot of stories. Attendance is mandatory, and the two exams are super easy (listing, multiple choice, and fill in the blank) Don't buy the textbook, we never used it at all.

Dr. Minnich is very entertaining; too much sometimes but fun to be taught by. Go to class, attendance counts and make sure to take notes because the exams are based completely off the ppts and they are not posted online. only took 2 exams and had like 2 other assignments. tells you everything that will be on the exam the day before. 10/10 recommend

Hands down must entertaining professor in GMU. I never look forward for classes, but her class is an exception. I love her stories about her personal life. Shes very energetic and extremely funny. Just attend every class focus on the power points and you are set to go. Believe me once you attend her first class, you wont miss the rest,Shes the best

I received an A in this class...but it was a joke. She assigned a ridiculous amount of work which I don't even think she graded. Numerous weekly assignments, an 8 page paper on an independent read book that's extremely dry and then a 15-20 page research paper. Everything is due on the last day of class..no way she could have graded it. It's a joke.

Nicest teacher ever. Unlike a lot of the professors at this school, she is actually understanding and helpful during and after class. I wasn't really into sociology at all, but not only did she make the class interesting, she actually made me look forward to a 7:30 AM class. No doubt, an impressive feat for any college professor.
