I was a student in 4 of his classes at JCU. He certainly played a huge role in sparking my interest in biology. I am now a grad student at the same university where he got his PhD. What a great guy. Rest in peace.

Comment:

The hardest and worst teacher I have ever had. Tests were mostly essay and impossible, class average on one of them was 65%. So technical and hard to understand, notes do not help. Makes people feel stupid when they ask questions. Does curve, but that doesn't make him easy by any standard. Hated the class, and he's not funny at all by the way.

Great teacher. Knew he wasn't dealing with future med students but still very thorough. Nice outlines and monster curve tests. Very dry and funny.

The class is Very difficult, but he grades extremely fair. He will curve every test and gave 10% bonus on top of that. 10 persentage point to your final grade. After you will KNOW histology I promise you that much!

I've heard horrors about his Biology courses, but he is an unbelievably brilliant man and very funny, if you aren't a moron. Expect conflict if you just screw around in class. He is always willing to help and is an excellent prof to have, if you're lucky to have him.

just kinda talks a lot during lecture. much info is for you to gather. not all that way though. good prep for grad studies/med school. learned a lot from him. tries to be humorous. he is sticking around to teach more. lots of info. big curves (on grades).

I liked how he gave way too much info in class. Doing this highlighted the important stuff and it all made perfect sense IF YOU GO TO THE REVIEW SESSIONS!!! I am a biology nut and it's nice to ask someone questions who knows everything about the subject

This man will make something that is supposed to be incredibly easy, painfully difficult. And he will make you feel like you're inferior and stupid. I don't know about his science courses, but for FYS, dont come near it with a 30 foot pole.
