Doug Meyer's color and design theory class was overall an easy course, however he chose to grade my projects with more rigor for some reason. I could never get that perfect score because of a tiny thing that really should not have made a large impact on my grade. He graded me so roughly for detail and claimed I was too focused on detail. lol.

Comment:

I spent way too much time critiquing other people's work which can be helpful but it took up easily two hours of the class each time. Very boring. Did not enjoy the projects or material. However we did go on a field trip to an art museum which was interesting and I feel I gleaned more information from the two hours in the museum than in the class.

Comment:

Took him for World Art. Consisted of short, simple lectures based on the study guide he gives you. Watched contemporary films about the art lecture that day in the other half of class. Easy midterm & final because he reviews with the class before he gives the exam. Lets you out early most of the time. He's laid back,quirky and is funny at times.

Absolutely love him! Would take him a second time. Had him for color/design and is a great teacher. Let's you re-do projects and critiques all of his students work in front of class but is very nice when he does it. Love love love!

Took him for color and design , plan on taking him again for western art 2. He's a great teacher very informative, lets you turn in late work, he also lets you re-do projects without being punished with a lower grade. He's funny, kind and helpful. He cares about your success. Love him!

FUNNY GUY, VERY FRIENDLY, EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE. HE LOVES HIS WORK SO EXPECT LONG LECTURES. LOOK AROUND THE CLASS WHILE HE TALKS (LIGHTS WILL BE OFF) YOU WILL SEE OTHERS SLEEPING LOL. VERY EASY CLASS TO PASS, HE GIVES YOU THE ANSWERS TO THE TESTS BEFORE EACH ONE, JUST LISTEN CLOSELY. CHOOSE HIM, YOU'LL PASS QUICK!

Took Mr Meyer for cOLOR AND Design. Super sweet teacher, lets you come and go as you please however he's so great that out of respect youll want to stay. Assigns projects, all he cares about is that you try your best. Lets you turn in late work and only gave out a quiz in the mid quarter

Took for color&design. Most of the painting is done in class, so as long as you attend and ask him questions he will be really helpful and tell you whether you are right or not. I found him to be very helpful.

Super nice and funny, he's interactive. Lets you come & go as you want. Took him for color & Design. Since you paint in class he tells you if you're getting the right colors or not. You get a few assignments and two small quizzes super easy. On the days that you turn in assignments you critique the whole time. Really not a tough class.

Mr. Meyer is the most fabulous instructor I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. He is clear with all of his explanations and I have never gotten anything lower than an A- on his quizzes and tests. He is an absolute joy to be around and genuinely cares about his students! He is fun and easy to learn from. I got an A in his class! :)

Second time taking him. He is so enthusiastic about what he teaches and makes the class interesting. Gives out a study guide and gets his quiz questions out of the book or from his lectures. Attend class and read the chapters and there is no way to fail!

He was really nice. the class is kind of hard if you don't read (which I didn't) but I took good notes on the lecture and it worked out. The quizzes and the midterm and final are basically your only chances, but you have an essay to redeem yourself. he was a little awkward but still really nice. Talks a lot though so I was pretty tired after 3 hrs.

He's nice, but kinda talks too much. The class is boring. I hate painting so that didn't help. I felt like he graded too hard.
