love love love Duncan! He's super kind and fun to be around. His lectures are a little repetitive and unorganized but the class expectations were clearly laid out. One big group project, one paper, and playing Roller Coaster Tycoon made up your grade. Participation and Attendance MATTER. As long as you go to class and try a little, you're fine.

Show up, be active in class, take notes, light studying, and you are going to get a good grade. He is always in his office during office hours! Lecture is good and he has great guest speakers. He doesn't use the Wedcourses, and is old school in his teaching style. Super easy!

As long as you go to class and read the syllabus it's an easy class. A lot of the test material comes from in-class powerpoints and guest lecturers. There was a midterm and a final, 1 group project you get all semester to work on, cool guest speakers, and a mystery shop of Universal. Its a great class if you love theme parks.

Awesome professor! Although writing 7 papers seems intimidating, it is actually extremely fun and you will receive good, constructive feedback if you ask. There is a quiz every other class, but if you read and do the crossword puzzles, they're aren't bad. Do the work, and you'll be fine. Best way to end my last semester!

Really interesting class. Yes, there are a bunch of papers, and a quiz almost every class on the crossword puzzles, but it wasn't hard - just tedious. You will learn a lot about countries around the world, and he has been to so many places and will teach you about them. Actually ask if you don't understand something and him or his TA will help you.

Typical professor with condescending attitude towards students. Continuously talks about his experiences... even though they aren't really his experiences. He was the Director of HR at Disney, yet he acts like he was the man who designed and built EPCOT. If you can overlook that, it is an easy course. MUST SHOW UP TO CLASS THOUGH.

He is a really good professor. Be prepared to take notes quickly because they aren't posted online. His tests are practically made up by the students. GO TO CLASS!!!!! The material is mostly memorizing all the ideas. He really is a funny guy adding humor to the boring subject of HR.

Overall my favorite professor this semester. He brought humor and current events into HR which could be a very dry subject. He is very clear about what is due when and he sticks to it. He is absolutely hilarious. You do have to go to class and take notes because he doesn't post his power points. I can't wait for another class I can take him for.

Does not encourage creativity. Does not make due dates clear. No matter what your ideas are, he will just criticize you for not formatting it exactly right. At first, he seems nice enough, but it later becomes clear how little he cares about his students. It's really too bad because I was genuinely interested the subject. Do not take.

My most favorite professor in Rosen. He is very knowledgeable and super funny. He makes you write 7 research papers but he is a super easy-graders (I got all A) if you follow his instructions carefully. You definitely need your textbook because he will give you daily quizzes (which are hard and super detailed).

Absolutely hilarious. No nonsense kind of attitude. All of his exams are mostly based off of his power points so take really good notes and you won't really need the book. Really willing to help students understand the concepts he is teaching and backs it up with extensive career experience and guest lectures.

There is a quiz each day of class and they can be hard, but the research papers can help you. There are 7 papers (1200 words) over the whole semester. He is an easy grader if you follow his instructions. There is only a final but he does have a full review day that does help.

He is a good teacher and is probably one of the more experienced at UCF. He is straight forward about what he wants and grades accordingly. Multiple projects including one on rollercoaster tycoon. DEFINITELY TAKE NOTES! Tests are on the powerpoints which aren't online, take good notes and write fast. The book is needed, but it's best to just borrow

This was my third class with Dickson. Yeah, he's a tough cookie but I would take him for every class possible still. Communications is a lot of group work but I'm so prepared for interviews and job fairs now it's insane. If you have the ability to put time away for homework, take this man, PLEASE. He's writing me a letter of rec for grad school....

Tourism Geography--yes you get 7 papers, but they're on interesting topics and their assigned the first week so you have time to prepare. Easily my favorite class at Rosen so far. He shares so much about the world and their tourist destinations. Deff worth taking if you want to travel!!! Dickson WANTS you to succeed after graduation--so genuine

Fantastic teacher, loads of cool stories and travels he's been on. If you can't handle nearly weekly quizzes and 7 papers, then skip. But honestly a lot of fun + learning. I am really enjoying it and I'm not even a hospitality major!

Duncan is truthfully a wonderful teacher, but its a lot of work. 3 Tests, Final, and a few papers here and there. Go to class every session in order to get the notes. He lectures all the time. Sometimes he is a little boring, but then sometimes its fun.
