Okay yes maybe my ratings might be a bit harsh, but its because Im not a Accounting Person. Its not a lot of math, but more about learning about Financial Statements and a lot of terms. I would suggest if you dont understand something in the beginning, then ask! He replies to your emails pretty quick. Overall, really kind professor!

Professor Julius is a funny guy. He is so serious sometimes during class and then he tells a story and it brings out his great personality. He grades mostly on tests but rounds it up based on participation, assignments and attendance. His tests are difficult but barely any homework. He also rounds the tests 10% each time.

Great professor and knows what he is talking about. Gives long lectures though, so be mentally prepared going into his class knowing that you need to take good notes. Class is entirely graded on tests.

If you make his class your life you will get an A but you will need to put in extra work. Going to the Tutors are a must with this professor. You will understand things from lecture and the book but then on the test even with cheat sheet will not know what is happening. The tests are the only things that matter in his class no homework but reading

Prof. J is a really good & caring teacher. He makes everything comprehensible even though accounting itself is pretty difficult. His tests are over 100 points but he pretends that they're out of a solid 100. The first 3 tests are based on specifics, so read the book. The final is based on the major concepts of each chapter. He's also very funny.

Comment:

Accounting is not hard as much as it's tedious - so be sure to really get why things work the way they do. Also, KNOW how EVERYTHING affects FINANCIAL STATMENTS, ASSETS, S/E, etc. Julius LOVES asking those kinds of questions for the exams (it drove me nuts lmao). You will have to read the chapters a few times, but he gives you a week for each.

Julius is amazing. He's very dry, but an accounting wiz. He's incredibly organized, and his courses are very well-structured. He will never make you do more than is absolutely necessarily, which is why he rarely gives hw. However, when he does give you hw, it's mostly (not always) for your own practice. Always come to class, and ASK QUESTIONS!

Julius is a GREAT instructor b/c he makes Accounting manageable for the average student (AKA me lol). You will: have to read the chapters 3-4x ea. wk to really get it; have a cum. final; be allowed to have 4 (full-pgs) of notes for final; be allowed to have 1 full pg of notes per test (3); and be given an acct. notebook (which is WAY helpful).

I wish I could choose all of the positive adjectives to describe this man. I'm an accounting major so I found this course to be really interesting and downright fun. do the problems he assigns even though they aren't for credit. Exams could be challenging if you're a non-major. BY FAR my favorite teacher I've ever had at any institution ever.

4 tests weighted 30%, 30%, 30%, 10% make up your grade (lowest exam including final can be 10%). As long as you go to class and pay attention and write down what he says, you'll get an A without reading the textbook. For the exams, just write down all the vocab and examples/problems you do in his booklet & you'll get an easy A

Actually the best professor I've ever had. The class is EASY. You get a full page cheat sheet (front and back) for every test. And you get 4 papers for the final! There is hardly any homework. He is so funny and sweet and genuinely cares about his students.

He is an amazing teacher. He really cares about his students. If you really think his class is too difficult to do well in you didn't do the readings or pay attention in class. He lays everything out in a very clear manner. He gives you more than enough opportunities to practice before it comes time to take the test. Nicest guy ever.

Julius can be a little bit boring at times, but he is honestly the best professor I have ever had. He cares so much about you as an individual. If you ever need help with anything, even if it is not accounting related, he would help you. He goes above and beyond for every student. He truly loves teaching and you can tell. Just do the reading.

Nice guy but his lectures are long and boring and dry. His tests are very hard and he words his questions in a weird way that can be tricky. There's no homework assigned so the exams are your only grades which can be hard to raise since there's no hw projects or quizzes.

Julius is so nice and helpful. He is so smart, but can be a little dry sometimes. He has a very dry accounting humor which keeps class funny. I am an accounting major and I look forward to taking more classes with him. This class is not incredibly easy but isn't impossible. Do what he says and you'll be fine.

It's not an easy A class but he is a very good teacher, responds to e-mails VERY quickly, very friendly, hardly any homework and not always collected. I had no interest what so ever in accounting but I really enjoyed his class.

Julius is such an awesome guy, he explains the material very well in an easy manner and is always willing to talk to you outside of class. Tests are a bit tricky but you get a cheat sheet and its scaled. He is hilarious too he just has that accounting humor to him.
