Comment:

Dr. Weintraut is a great professor who really cares for the subject and his students. Anything you cant remember form class or the textbook can easily be recalled by the many puns and gestures used throughout the semester. The class was fun and interactive, and I highly recommend anyone to take it.

Comment:

Dr. Weintraut is one of the greatest professors I have ever had. He is tough and will make you work for your grade, but he is very accessible out class and gives constructive feedback on homeworks, quizzes, and tests. I am going to miss his class. If you are thinking about taking German, take it with Dr. Weintraut.

He is an amazing professor. He is caring and understanding and actually strives to make the class more enjoyable and informational. He is a wealth of knowledge and if you show that you care and work diligently he will be a great tool. He is also quite funny.

Dr. Weintraut is a spectacular professor who has a true passion for teaching. His enthusiasm kindles a drive to learn and engage in his students. It's important to stay engaged in class as he keeps you on your toes enough to make sure you're learning but not to make you uncomfortable. He's the best professor I've had so far.

He was a great teacher that gave you feedback on your homework in only a few hours. He is extremely flexible with you when personal life gets in the way. He had multiple assignments that really tested your everyday speaking in German.

Professor Weintraut is one of the most understanding and accessible professors you'll ever have. He's extremely organized and grades much more efficiently than other professors. He's passionate about the texts and is very deserving of his position as Associate Dean. He gives amazing feedback on just about any work that you do, not just essays.

He gives homework every day that there is a class. You have to buy the access code to do the homework. Overall this was a good class to learn German and it was actually filled with quite a few laughs and jokes.

Dr. Weintraut was so great for GBK! He brought lots of interesting background knowledge to class, which helped give me a better understanding of the texts. He had us analyze art and music from the time period which was a great addition. He grades papers pretty easily! Would definitely recommend.

Comment:

Dr. Weintraut is a very good professor and makes his German courses very interesting. He's there to really help students get into the language. However, like any foreign language, the class will require a lot of work in order to do well, but Weintraut will help if you're struggling to learn.

The lectures for this class are always entertaining! Can't wait to take German 112 next semester, Dr. Weintraut is a great teacher and very willing to give you help outside of class. Feedback on assignments, homework, quizzes and exams is very constructive and helpful. Recommend this course for students who are not afraid to work, it is rewarding!

Dr. Weintraut is a hilarious man! He likes puns a lot. He really loves teaching German to students and loves when his students enjoy the class. The tests are hard, quizzes not so much. If you do your homework and study, this class will be easier but it is a difficult course. Recommend this class to everyone

Dr. Weintraut is the best! When you take the class, you will learn German and you will have fun doing it. In between his weird stories and his strange puns, he will always keep you laughing and smiling. He is an easy grader, and he cares about his students. If you do the work, show up, and participate, you will get an A in his class. He is awesome!

Really nice guy and a great teacher. Willing to help if you don't understand what's going on but the class can be a little fast paced at the beginning. He's super into class participation so if that freaks you out at first, don't be surprised. He's pretty good at feeling out if that stresses you out though. Really great, taking him again!

He loves this stuff, and it really shows when he teaches! He's engaged in the texts and usually offers some some music, art, etc at the beginning of class. I've gone through the entire gbk program, and his is one of the best classes I've taken! Definitely worth rearranging your schedule to fit him into it! Plus, he has great hair!

Dr. Weintraut is an excellent professor! While he is a tough grader, he is fair, and provides extensive feedback. We were required to write 3 papers, 3 reflections, and 3 responses to the reflections of others, posted on Blackboard. We also had to write a final paper incorporating 3 sources from this course and 1 from a previous class.
