Comment:

Puente Cohort 2014-15. The best professor I have ever had. She's very caring, willing to come to an agreement in case anything person comes up, and is very understanding. I would definitely take her again if I ever had the chance. Very interactive with lectures and essays. Puente Family Forever.

Comment:

Professor Leonard is a very friendly english teacher, she really takes the time out of her day to correct her student's papers with side notes just so they can improve. She even lets you rewrite your final drafts once she corrects them so you can get a better grade. Make sure to turn in your reading logs cause every single point counts in her class

She is not the worst teacher but she is not the best either. Her grading is okay you can say, but she treats you like a little kid. The lady can be a real pain: she seems like that future boss you're going to have later on in life. If you show up on time and seem like you care, finish her assignments and participate you'll get through her class.

Condesending, talks to you like you're a stupid child. Mrs. Leonard talks on and on about herself and then gets others to talk about themself, but no real academic discussion related to the reading takes place. I don't know how she got a job teaching at a college. 5th grade I could see, maybe.

AMAZING professor. she expects a reasonable amount from her students, and if one cannot meet them she can get upset. People need to stop being immature, realize they're in college, and do their work. She absolutely is there for her students and wants each to succeed. and she is soooo freakin cute and has an amazing personality!!

I've had Ms. Leonard for two semesters and I have to tell you that she is by far the best teacher I've had since third grade. She is not an easy teacher. Why would you want an easy teacher? Don't kid yourself out of an education. As far as in grading, I got a B last semester. For this semester she has encouraged me to go for that A.

Professor Leonard was one of my favorite professors at West LA. She is NOT a harsh grader at all. I took English 103 with her - HONORS - and received an A in the course. The key is to write your paper early and go discuss it with her in her office hours before the due date. She is so nice and so helpful.

AMAZING teacher. She is very clear and precise in what she expects out of her students. She is very informative; sometimes she'll spin off topic & teach us something implied in the lesson to further understanding. Nice lady, but felt that she favored certain students.Be punctual & don't miss class. If u don't spend time around her, interact during what @ times can be irrelevant lectures or if u r not one of the chosen ones & she doesn't know u well, u won't get that borderline grade.Not hard though, if u can't take Dr Gorski its a coin flip & brown nosing.

she is the hardest grading teacher i have ever had, and i mean that in a bad way. She expects you to write these amazing essays yet doesnt help you with them AT ALL. Instead you get to have your papers reviewed by your incompetent peers. She talks down to her students and makes u hate english!

Her class is easy but you will learn something meaningful from it. Leonard is definitely dedicated to her students. The only problem is she never goes by her syllabus. Do all of the journal entries! If you don't turn in even one journal it can adversely impact your grade. You must participate it's 10% of the grade. And no late work accepted.
