Comment:

Dr. Young is pretty fun, and wants students to get a good grade. Show up and answer questions in class and you will do good. He gives a lot of bonus points out and makes quizzes easy. Read the book and you will do good on exams. Lecture is boring, but he has some good stories about life, so definitely worth taking with him.

Professor Young is a pretty cool guy. He always tries to keep class interesting with funny metaphors and what not. For the most part if you listen and read you should get a good grade. Quizzes aren't too bad, the tests might catch you off guard though, read the chapters and you should be good.

I dreaded taking economics, but Dr. Young actually made it interesting. Great sense of humor. He was always willing to answer questions and was always ready to help. Studying was definitely necessary to stay on top, and reading the book was also important. But it was clear he wanted his students to learn. He was one of my favorite professors.

Dr. Young is awesome! Although class gets boring from time to time, he tries to keep it interesting. AHH!! THE GERBIL! DON'T TORTURE THE GERBIL! There's a quiz every week, with about half of them being take home quizzes (although you never know WHEN they will be take home). Funny guy, likes to use Water St. analogies. TAKE HIM!

This is by far one of the coolest professors yet! He is extremely funny and tries to keep you interested. You have to study obviously to do well, but just listening to him is a riot!!!!!

He's a really funny guy and does his best not to bore you, but the lectures do tend to drag on. His test are really hard unless you understand econ really well. He does give a lot of bonus points and grades easy on assignments. Quiz every thursday.

Dr Young is really nice and likes to tell entertaining stories in class, which are a nice break during the long lectures (it's a Tu-Th class). The book is superfluous, and you do need to study, at least a little, for exams. I expect an A/A-. Lots of bonus points. Drop two quizzes and one paper. He's a good guy.

Do not take him unless you absolutely have to. He thinks he is just on the top of the world since he is chair of the dept, but he is always late and soooo unorganized. His tests are very hard too! Avoid if at all possible.

Definitely my favorite professor at EC! He is very enthusiastic about the subject and it is obvious that his number one goal is to help students learn the material. There is ample opportunity to improve your grade and overall it's on a curve. Any class he's teaching is worth taking.

By far the BEST professor at Eau Claire. He brings enthusiasm into the classroom and you can tell he really likes his job. Other professors need to go to his classes and they would learn what to model themselves after. I like his everyday examples that are easy to relate too. He will take time to make sure you understand. All around great professor

DYoung is an amazing professor. He makes sure that his students understand what he is teaching. He encourages questions and makes sure everyone's is answered before moving on. He makes class interesting yet productive. He's hilarious! One of the best prof's I've had at UWEC in my 3 years here.

Young is very fond of developing elaporate zany metaphors to explain macroeconomics concepts. Most memorable is the one about rats and the banker/goldsmith. He's good natured and humorous(not always interntionaly) There is plenty of reading but other than that this class is fairly easy(as a 100 level should be)

HILARIOUS!!! Class isn't hard as long as you put forth some effort and do the bonus problems and read over the old exams he sends out. He'll make you laugh EVERY DAY. Great guy.

Do the bonus problems. It helps you understand the stuff more than he does. Sometimes he's disorganized and forgets things. His quizzes are ok if you look over the notes and read. If you look at old tests, you can do VERY well on the tests. He is funny, but tends to get boring after a while.

Goofy professor that gives out A's. He tells really funny stories that usually apply the material to econ, and he makes up funny excuses as to why the class falls asleep. One quiz a week, 3 exams, a final, and easy bonus points. And gives out old exams to study from. Take him!

Great Guy all around. Very funny and realtes goofy stories to the material. Gives out a lot of bonus points which really makes an easy A. Gives out past exams for you to study from for exams which is very helpful. I would definaltey recommend him to anyone taking and econ class.
