Harbron made the transition to online classes so easy in spring 2020 with quarantine. She is always available and wants you to succeed!!! Her Organic Chem class is very hard (it is Organic Chemistry) but she makes it not only easy to understand but actually fun to do. I love Professor Harbron and would take every chemistry class that she teaches!

I've never felt like I could access science the way that STEM majors seem to. This class changed that for me. The subject material was fascinating and taught in an accessible way. Professor Harbron is so cool and engaging, and she clearly tries really hard to engage different kind of learners in every subject. She never got tired of my questions.

Harbron is truly the one professor who easily breaks down difficult concepts in such an easy way. She always encourages questions no matter how basic or complex. I didn't start off doing very well and when I approached her for help, she was so caring, and so encouraging and she assured me that 1. mistakes happen 2. She wants her students to pass.

Professor Harbron is easily one of my absolute favorite professors here at WM. I had a lot of difficulty in organic chemistry and she was so understanding and willing to help however she could. She genuinely cares for her students in ways outside of academia. She makes a difficult subject bearable and lectures in an interesting manner. Study a lot!

Overall good class. Only negative is the group project that she has you do with the same group members all year, but I think she is going to change that around some in future years. Pretty easy, good class to take. Even if you do know chem, looking at the science from an artist's prospective is different and interesting.

Really fun class for non-stem majors. At the same time, her lectures are clearly structured that can teach you some really chem knowledge. Super nice and patient with students, understand that they have more difficulties. I really enjoyed color story and experiments. Perfect way to fit C200-NQR. More accessible than Other science class.

Took Color, Light, & Chemistry for the NQR 200. Ended up really enjoying the class! It's hands on, we learned a lot of actual organic chemistry, and Harbron was really receptive to our feedback, input, and concerns. She's obviously very passionate and knowledgeable about the topic.

I took Color, Light, & Chemistry because I'm bad at science and needed an NQR. This was the perfect class, as Harbron is a great professor who blended science and CSI/ALV elements in a really cool way. Exams were difficult, but lab grades/homework grades help curve them. Lectures were engaging. Overall, a surprisingly enjoyable science class.

Definitely my favorite professor at William and Mary. She does a fantastic job during lectures of clearly explaining all material and goes at a great pace. Problem sets count for 50% of your grade... Both a blessing and a curse. The take-home tests were sooooooooooo hard, but the in-class portions were very easy in comparison. Love her.

Harbron has easily been one of the clearest professors that I have had at WM. She explains material really well during lectures, typically she introduces concept and then demonstrate it through several examples. Notes are posted to Blackboard but you'll want to show up for the lectures. Sapling hw and practice in the book is essential to do well.

absolutely loved Professor Harbron! Her review sessions are very helpful & she is always willing to work with u. If you go to class, u do not need to crack the book because her lectures are very clear. Her tests are hard but if you study u will be fine. DO EVERY PROBLEM GIVEN. Highly recommend her!!

The class is very difficult but she is an amazing professor. She knows the material inside and out and tries to make it as clear as she can. She answers every question and goes at a reasonable pace. Her tests, however, are harder than tests by other professors teaching the same class. Take the easy class and go to her lectures if you can.

Harbron is definitely the hardest out of the orgo profs, but she is the best lecturer out of all of them. She's also very fair when it comes to grading: I failed one test and got a C and D on the other two yet still ended up with a C+ for the semester. And I still remember some of the chemical reactions!

Professor Harbron was WONDERFUL! So enthusiastic, so interested, so funny, so helpful! Her tests (multiple choice questions especially) were pretty darn hard though, but it's worth it for her great teaching. You will thoroughly learn the course material with her.

Harbron is the best!!! <3 She's enthusiastic, sweet, relatable, and you will LEARN the material in her class. Her exams are challenging but she is by far the best lecturer I've ever had and gives you more than enough resources to succeed. If you have to take orgo for a non-chem major, take it with Harbron!!! :)

Orgo is a really challenging class and Harbron manages the material really well. She spends time on subjects that are difficult but doesn't dwell on the details. I wish I had done the homework along the way. Her exams may be harder than the other sections, but her lectures are better so it balances out.

Incredible professor! The material is tough, but if you study, go to review sessions, and ask for help, you'll do fine. Also, you'll always think, "Big, sloshy Bromine" when you look at a periodic table. Don't know how I would've passed Orgo without Prof. Harbron.
