Comment:

Thomas was very passionate about teaching, but definitely lecture heavy. She was nice but I also never spoke 1 on 1 with her much, but very understanding when I did. There was a paper due & online quizzes that you can take multiple times, but the answers can usually be found on quizlet. Your grade is mostly reflected by exams.

Really tough to listen to in lecture, there is nothing fun about this class. BUT, the exams are easy if you study. Very straightforward.

Professor Thomas is passionate but I often felt like her lectures were extremely slow paced and she'd repeat the same thing over and over. She barely puts any information in her powerpoints - you're supposed to bring them to class to fill out during lecture. She gives study guides and curves each exam, but her slides are unorganized.

She gives good lectures, and lots of information is clearly stated. The exams are fairly easy, but you do need to study. You should definitely pay attention in class because she cares a lot about your success and wants everyone to pass. There are activities, but she helps you. She also gives study guides and plenty of time for homework.

Comment:

Dr. Thomas is a great choice for Biology. She clearly has a passion for the course, and I truly believe an A in this course is obtainable by everyone if they appropriately study. Her lectures are not boring at all, but 8:30 a.m. classes were a slight struggle for me, but I obtained an A without much effort. Don't buy the book, literally not used.

Great professor. She provides extra notes that are helpful if you cant keep up with the pace she lectures. She also gives study guides that help a lot. You should pass the class if you do your work and study study study!!! You dont really need to buy the book but it is helpful.

Mrs. Thomas is very passionate about the course material and goes out of her way to make sure you understand. I never used the book and got an A in the course. Tests are usually curved up a few points. As long as you come to lecture, this class should be fine. Powerpoints are posted on ecampus, as well as study guides- helpful for tests.

I absolutely loved Ms. Thomas, best professor I've had in college so far. If you attend class, and do the study guide slides you should not have a hard time getting an A in the course. All tests are multiple choice and have clear answers as to what is right and wrong. She also weights her tests and gives plenty of extra credit for attending class.

Professor Thomas was a great professor. Like most lectures, they were long and often boring. However, she really tries her best to keep them interesting. You can tell she's really passionate about the subject. As long as you do the study guide slides on the powerpoints, you'll be prepared for the exams.

Professor thomas is such a sweetheart. She really works hard to make sure everyone understands everything. Tests are somewhat hard but as long as you study youll be fine. She normally curves the tests. Getting an A is fairly easy.

She may give out study guides to fill in during lecture however, she doesn't go in order, she doesn't cover everything that will be on the test, and she lectures from start to the very end(even past) class time. She expects everyone to get an A+,but she is just terrible.

This class is required for my major but the subject matter is incredibly boring to me. I'm one of those people who will regularly skip class and then read the book and then pass the exams. You CANNOT do that in this course. There is no textbook, and the slideshows don't provide you with the information necessary. Take the summer version.

I have really enjoyed class with Mrs. Thomas. She is very knowledgeable about the subject matter and really wants her students to succeed. Lectures are thorough, PowerPoint slides & study guide material very important for exams. Do read the book as well to ensure you know the material. She is accessible outside of class & does review sessions.

She's very passionate about biology. She prepares you very well for the exam and even offers review sessions for your benefit. Very friendly and is willing to help you. I love her.

Her lectures can be boring but if you do not pay attention, you will not pass. The tests are based on a lot of information. The review sheets are very helpful and a lot of the tests questions are repeats of the review sheet.

Ms. Thomas is one of the best professors/teachers Ive ever had. She cares a lot about her students grades and is willing to help. You can tell she is passionate about the material she is teaching and explains it well. Tests arent bad at all as long as you pay attention in class.

Comment:

Nice enough lady, but the tests were pretty hard to pass. It's not that the information is hard to understand, she just expects you to know A LOT of information. So unless you really like learning about trees and lakes (etc), I don't recommend this class. There are a lot of other grades in, so you can still pass the class if you fail the tests.
