Assigns 7-10 readings per week but only goes over 1. Doesn't actually grade anything. Thinks he's egalitarian and "Frierian," really only wants to hear his opinion parroted back to him with different words. Narcissistic. Ignorant. Can't ask questions or complain if you don't like something. Rude. Condescending. Avoid if possible

Eric Davis is visiting professor in my university, in Venice. His course is on Comparative Politics. Fun fact, no contents at all, but only questions without providing almost any source of information. His obsession with Freirian pedagogy is a bit hypocritical: he's bossy, closed-minded and he often manipulates students' remarks. Avoid if you can.

Eric Davis is by far the worst professor in my entire history of education. He provided me with no feedback upon my numerous requests. He is a pro arabic and and anti semitic. He visited Iraq and egypt during the semester. He expects the students to finish his sentences. He is deceptive and abbrasive. My GPA was 3.75 before I took his class.

He has no rubric. He gives no feedback. He will not communicate with you if you do not compliment him in some way. He gives lots of work but never covers it all. If he grades you poorly he will not give a clear reason why. He makes promises, but keeps few and ignores you if you ask about them. Avoid.

Dr. Davis is pretty cool, his course was interesting but you have to ask questions if you want to gain more from his courses. He can answer anything you want and if he can't answer you should research it on your own. I never had him undergrad but his graduate courses are great. I would take him again. If you want an A you'll have to earn it.

I've never had a class with this man, but I work for the computing help desk and when I tried to help him with his issue, he insisted that I should know how to solve his issue even though the problem was not under our jurisdiction. Needless to say, as a poli sci major, I will never take a course with him.

He is a nice guy, but this class is ridiculous. He waited until the day before the final exam to send out the study guide which was extremely long. You have to go to class and he requires A TON reading. SPARE YOURSELF & STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!

Stay away. The guy is a very poor lecturer - disorganized, rambling, unprepared, just wings it. On top of that, the guy is nasty in personal terms - patronizing, condescending, intolerant of anyone who thinks differently. Like many other Poli Sci professors, this guy should have retired already.

Will echo comments from others, total THUMBS DOWN. As others have noted the guy is arrogant, boring, close-minded, intolerant, disrespectful, and not too bright to boot. He's lucky he is a professor, since he'd have no chance in the real world. Avoid at all costs. I wish I had checked him out before enrolling!

Okay, the people on here who rated him poorly only did so because they didn't do well in the class. Davis is a wonderful professor and he really wants you to succeed in his class. He likes to make you think for yourself, rather than memorize facts. The class is well worth the work and he is a wonderful person and professor
