His lectures are horrible. you won't know what to write down. He gives reviews but your answer has to be what he wants. Gives extra credit thats the only way you well pass.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO. Terrible professor. He liked to listen to himself talk over actually teaching. Relies very heavy on the textbooks, he had two mandatory textbooks by the way, and on his handouts. None of which make sense. Lectures are hard to follow. He screams and bangs his desk a lot. Annoying and rude.

I don't understand all of these "awful" ratings of Dr. Fair. No, I take that back; I do understand them. To be candid, many students are intellectually lazy and unwilling to work for their grade. I took Dr. Fair more than fifteen years ago, and he remains one of the most inspirational professors I've ever had. Great professor, all around.

His class makes no sense at all. Even reading the chapters and his handouts and studying the hardest, you will not pass the tests. He thinks he is better than everyone and has many opinions. He is a nice person but not a very good teacher. Do not take his class. Avoid it at all costs.

Frank is HORRIBLE. He gives homework 3x a week and you will NEVER understand it if you try your hardest. He always has an attitude and he is rude when you ask a question. His tests are hard and inaccurate. Prevent from taking him at all costs. No class should ever be so hard.

Honestly, I do NOT recommend this professor to any student out there because he has a God complex and thinks he is better than everyone out there. I'm sorry but he's ridiculous and doesn't even explain the material correctly and wants to spend the entire lecture time talking about himself and how great he is. Take another professor if you have to.

He seems to be unaware that some people have families, jobs and other classes. He gives handouts to read yet nothing makes sense. His quiz online requires you to get almost a perfect score to get to his exam, mind you his material is all over that you have no clue what to study. I have NEVER struggled in a class till now!

Be prepared to work. Homework is daily but helps you learn the material. Gave extra credit but youll need it because exams are tough. Lectures can be all over the place. No exams are multiple choice except a portion of the cumulative final. Hes available outside of class so thats helpful. Cares more about getting his point across than your GPA

Frank Fair is a good professor in the sense that he takes his classes seriously and gets back to you on time w recieving your grades. He is a very dry and boring lecturer. He needs to present the material in a interesting and broken down fashion. He assigns too much work for a class that I'm not majoring in and is a very difficult in his grading.

He's Terrible at lectures and usually goes off topic, taking notes is complicated because you don't know if you have to write what he says or what he writes. Not to mention his hand writing is terrible. He grades very tough, he takes off points for literally anything. He does give a couple of extra credit and the reviews are very helpful.

Frank Fair is honestly one of the worst professors I have ever had. I am not a philosophy major nor minor. I had to take this extremely hard class as a substitute. He is quite rude and not helpful. He does not directly answer questions. He gives you possible test questions before hand but it is difficult to find the answer especially to his liking

He is a worse lecturer than reading a statistics textbook naked laying on a cold bathroom tile floor. I am an A student and this professor is literally out to hear his voice and opinions ring across a classroom not to teach.

(critical thinking) I am an average student and I wouldn't recommend this class. The material is hard to understand, you will need to get extra help outside of his lectures. You NEED THE BOOK TO PASS. Scantrons are only used for quizzes. Test are open ended questions. This course requires much outside work.

This is not the easiest class to take but he is willing to help if you are having trouble and while the tests (and there are 5 of them) are essay, he takes the questions directly from the review, and the review at the beginning of the unit so you literally have the entire unit to prepare or the test. Nearly impossible to fail.

Alright listen up, if you're taking Fair in the first place, it is a degree oriented class which means this isn't something you should be looking to "just pass". His courses are difficult but honestly one of the best teachers I've had. If you're interested in receiving an education worth your while take him. I did fine with class structure.

There are reviews, but has no structure to his lectures. You have about two weeks between each test. He does not directly answer anything. Also make sure you directly memorise exactly what he says because if you have the correct answer but it's not the same way he says it, he counts it wrong. Tests are essay tests. There are four textbooks.

As long as you study and pay attention in his class you will do fine. If you put effort and actually try to learn you will grasp the material. Never studied super hard only the day before the test but that is about it. If you know everything on the review you are guaranteed to make A's in his exams. Very profound man and definitely passionate.

This class is HARD but professor Fair is probably the hardest professor to take for the course. He is very helpful, however the material is EXTREMELY difficult. He gives reviews with essay questions exactly how they are on the test but you will still probably get a C. GOOD LUCK

Comment:
Dr. Fair is intelligent, but his lectures are extremely puzzling. I would spend all night studying for the tests, made notecards and everything, and the best grade I've gotten is a 74, and thats only because there was a curve. Nothing in his class is multiple choice and he critics everything, so expect to explain everything down to its definition.
