He's very knowledgeable about the material and teaches it quite well. There's no lab for the course which is a nice bonus too. However, be ready to read through the appropriate sections in the textbook too because that's probably the best route to success. A step down in difficulty from CHEM2220 but still important to keep up with material.

He is really helpful if you go see him outside of class, but his in class lectures are quite monotone and confusing so it is easy to lose focus. I would recommend investing in the textbook and learning the taught material from it too. His tests require quite a bit of studying but are fair. Fair warning, it really is an extension of organic chem.

I'm sure he's a very intelligent guy and great in his field but not a teacher, at all. Disorganized (albeit he has started putting notes online), starts explaining something and trails off as though we know what he's going to say. Poor explanations. Buy the textbook.

Smart Guy. Talks like Arnold and the guy from Simpsons, so hard to understand. Disorganized Notes and class. Jumps around which makes subject hard to follow. Notes are brutal. Just read the txt book, and ask questions in the labs or see him out of class. Not a good teacher, but good guy to answer questions out of class

Worst professor ever. Not only is he not helpful in lectures, he will 100% screw you over 3 days before an exam by "making you responsible" for an entire new chapter, and then giving 50% of the questions on the exam on that chapter. Ask for a 50% discount when paying for this course, because he's useless.

Nice guy, always very helpful, and extremely smart. Having said that, his lectures are brutal; it's really just impossible to take decent notes. You're much better off reading the textbook.

Prof. started off well, but went downhill as the semester went by. Notes are not very clear, so yes...study the text if you can't go to another section for this course!

The guy is way too smart to be teaching. He's there to do a research; his trade isn't teaching. Really nice guy though. I admire his dedication to his field. Needs to make better notes and put them online. The course is pure textbook, regardless of what the profs. teach in class. Focus on the textbook and use classes as a review.

READ THE TEXTBOOK IF U HAVE TO TAKE IT WITH HIM, OR BRING IT TO CLASS, AND TALK TO THE OTHER TEACHER BEFORE THE EXAM TO MAKE SURE WHAT IS ACTUALLY ON THE EXAM. This year he didn't finish teaching what was on the midterm until two lectures after it.
