He is a kind person and very patient. Even If you miss a major exam he will find a way for you to take it. At the end of the semester, he drops your lowest 2 quizzes and homework. And he has a makeup exam which will replace your lowest exam as well. But the finals are pretty hard because he doesn't prepare it.

Not the easiest course to take. I didn't really care for his teaching method. He is very kind, but I just didn't like the way he explained things.

Great professor! He expects you to read your textbook, which is amazing because its CHEAP and includes worked-out problems, and then come to class where he will go over homework problems. During lectures, he boxes potential test items so you don't go in for an exam blind. He truly is an intelligent man, who has a passion for chemistry.

It's a tough class. You can't just half-ass it, you've got to pay attention, you've got to actually do the work. Dr. Senese is great at helping you get it done--very good at explaining complicated things in simple terms.

I took his class thinking I could pass easily since I took general chem one and two in high school. He made things harder than it has to be. His notes are god awful, if you stop listening for a minute prepare to be confused. What he lectures in class is mainly for the homework and a lot of what is on the homework is nothing like the tests.

Dr. Senese is absolutely the worst excuse for a teacher I have ever seen. He was late to class several times. He did not show up to office hours. He did not clearly answer my questions. He did not respond to my e-mails. His tests were not like the examples he "explained" in class. Please do not take him.

Dr. Senese is an extremely smart professor. He's very good at explaining how to do a problem, but that's my only complaint about the course. He teaches how to do your homework, so a lot of the time it feel like you're only going to class to learn how to do the homework. Overall, it was nice having him as a professor, he's a pretty great guy.

Dr. Senese is a genius, so he explains things in his terms, but then breaks them down into easier examples for the students. He is an extremely nice guy and if you have problems on any of the problem sets he helps you work them out. His tests are tricky because theres only a few questions so make sure you really study

This man wrote the textbook so he knows what he is talking about. He writes a lot of notes, but they teach you a lot and they prepare you for the tests. The tests are mainly working problems, so if you do not like math, you may not want to take this class. He takes a while to open up to his students, but when he does, he is constantly craking jokes

Dr. Senese was a very laid back and soft spoken professor. He obviously knew what he was doing, and has a passion for chemistry. Sometimes it was unclear what were being tested on, but for the most part, he was a good professor. It's not an easy course, so don't take it if you don't have to.

Dr. Senese is a genius and the class can be very difficult at times, but he is always willing to help and if you and some other classmates work together on the postlabs, prelabs, and datasheets it will make the class just that more manageable. I got a C and I failed every test we took.

Senese is like a genius and he wrote the book, is very helpful and will work with you, but his lectures are so boring and not mandatory. Tests are hard cause they have like 8 questions on them and you usually take 2 at a time. Homework is a lot but not impossible. He is the best Chem 101 teacher

If you have other hard classes such as biology...dont take it. There is a lot of work! Pre labs, post labs, and data sheets due every week. he gives test during lab and he gives two test at a time. He is very smart and will teach you like you should already know what he is talking about. 103 is highly recommended first.
