I thought this class was a lot of fun. We got to discuss interesting things and do interesting problems. He seemed prepared and was helpful in answering questions outside of class. I recommend this class and this professor very much.

Had him for Physics I recitation. He'd write everything up on the board and then would go back through it, pretty much just reading what he wrote. Didn't really help make the subject easier at all, and wasn't really good at explaining things or answering questions.

Class time was moderately well spent. If he says you dont need to know something, don't believe him; you will. Otherwise, he isn't horrible, especially if you know some physics concepts before hand. Though the class claims to be calculus based, it is not.

TERRIBLE!!!!! Class time was a waste, he confused himself all of the time, and things gone over in class didn't help nor did it prepare you for the exams. The book is terrible too.

A little dim witted and not a very good speaker. Notes are all typed using symbols from Word and so are often messy, not very good at writing on the overhead either, tests were pretty hard, large curves.

Awful lecturer; examples either made little to no sense, filled with mistakes, or he would decide to not explain how to do it and just say "well, figure it out". even his help sessions before the midterms/final were nearly pointless for similar reasons. AVOID THIS GUY

The man could not teach his way out of a wet paper sack. He is the worst professor I have ever had. I would routinely walk in with a basic understanding of the subject and leave completely baffled. I quit listening about a week into the quarter and taught myself. Avoid this man unless it is absolutely necessary. Sorry if you have him.

The worst professor I have ever had. His lectures were riddled with mistakes and often he wouldn't even teach us the material. He wasted all of our time giving us useless electronic quizzes that took forever and sometimes would just put something on the board and tell us to figure it out without even teaching it to us. AVOID!

dumbest man alive. i would walk into class understanding something and yet somehow he would find a way to make me not know what i was doing. my recitation professor had to go behind him and correct farlow's mistakes.

Dr. Farlow is great in small classes. I had him for PHY 240 and had a hard time because of how he presented his examples. If you have questions he is great one on one. Use the physics help room as well if you have questions...thats what it is there for.

He doesn't do a very good job of relating the reading to his examples. However, he is very helpful one on one. If you take his class, make sure you study his practice test very carefully. Some of the questions are exactly the same or differ only by a few numbers.

The lectures were boring. Didn't really get anything out of them. Recitation helps tremendously. The Physics help room is great as well. Work hard on homework and read the book, and you should stand a good chance at a good grade with this prof.

Terrible prof. didn't explain anything, did examples in class that constantly had errors in them. I found myself learning more in recitation than actual lecture. Avoid this teacher at all costs, even if it means taking physics at sinclair for a quarter! Worst teacher in college experience!

I am a physics major so I am slightly biased. But despite the prevailing opinion of many of my classmates I enjoyed his lectures; there were some mistakes, though. It is critical to read the book before lecture. He is very kind when it comes to grades and curves.

Terrible, terrible proffessor. Lectures were a waste, and he made errors on EVERYTHING. Even on the exams we had to correct numerous errors before starting. The exams were lengthy, and we were only given 50 min to finish. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!

This guy is a terrible lecturer. Besides having a monotonous voice that puts you to sleep, he makes errors on every single problem he does in lecture. I am a 4.0 student and even I dread this class. I don't know why I come to lecture...it's pointless.
