Comment:

He is very old and does not explain his examples correctly. Me and my friend got our test back, with the same answer but one of us got it wrong. Class is suppose to be 1.5 hours long but we always end up leaving after 30 minutes. So we do not learn anything he just let us leave without learning anything.

Doesnt explain anything, class would end about 1 hour early, or even 2 hours early and we wouldnt learn anything, also extremely boring and he doesnt teach geometry, he expects us to know what were doing. I would definitely not take his class again.

Comment:

Hank is a man in his 70s who teaches math with the idea that everyone's already knows what he's talking about and how to do it. When doing examples on the board he doesn't explain how to do them and they are most often wrong and have to be corrected by students. If you don't already know the exact material, you wont be learning anything.

It was my first time taking a math class after so long and Professor Copeland made it heavenly! His grading criteria is very clear. He's very caring and will help all students! He's also very funny. Would definitely recommend him!

He makes a few mistakes here and there but overall he is a good teacher. He's patient with students and overall really nice lad. He teaches straight from the textbook so make sure you have that and you should be good to go!

excellent professor, Easy easy A, no doubt about that. had him for 46a so i cant speak for any other class, but if you have to take a remedial course this is the guy you want.

Prof. Copeland is 87 years young. He is very chill, lenient, understanding and this class was super easy! You do have to do self study because he does examples from the book. lets you re do tests if you scored bad. All of the test are exactly what is in the book -- the answers are in the back! So if you study, you will pass and get an easy A+

AVOID. He should not be teaching and should be audited by the faculty. The lectures are MAYBE 2 examples for each section. He makes a ton of mistakes and if you ask him to work a problem from the book, he looks just as lost himself! Sorry man, retire already. Tests are the examples in each section. Easy A but in the long run, good luck.

He's old, ( 87), should have retired 20 yrs ago. He doesn't teach. He expects his students to read the book and figure it out. He lectures for about 20 minutes, makes a lot of mistakes, and tells us to go home. He's lenient on exams and lets you take it over if you don't do well and he's nice. Get a good tutor or you won't make it.

Hank is a great person - a teacher with a big heart. He genuinely cares about you passing his class, as long as you show that you care. Tests are compiled only from examples from the book. Homework is traditional, as it comes straight out of the book. There is a quiz every class( only a few problems), and Its only on what he goes over during class.

Great class set-up for a math class. The only way to get a grade in the class is through a chapter test which is each week. There is no homework, and attendance doesn't matter. All chapter tests are out of the book with answers, and all you need to study is how to do them. First time I actually learned math would definitely take again!

He tends to forget a lot and makes a lot of errors that can cause unnecessary confusion and frustration,his lectures are long and boring. Would never take his class again.

Hank is a nice and lenient teacher, however I found his teaching skills to be simply confusing. If it wasn't for the fact that his chapter tests come straight from the book, which gives you time to memorize by going over the answers for each question, I would have probably failed. Overall, an easy A.

He is not a very good teacher, he goes on random tangients that has nothing to do with math at all. But the class is very easy. All you have to do, literally, is study the chapter test in the book and you will pass the class because all the tests come directly from the book. The class can get extremely boring but easy A's are always great!

Great Professor but only do examples in the book. If you want the answer to the test buy the book because the chapter test is the same thing as the practice test, he just scan it. Just attend class, listen or follow along in the book bc he might tell you to read for him,and no Homework. No work assign, let you use calculator during test, no phone.

Extremely understanding very lenient really wants to see you succeed if he sees you trying. Some facts, all tests are compiled from examples out of the book no tricks literally from the textbook. He wears hearing aids therefore you really need to yell at him. Doesn't allow cell phone calculators or tablets

Very poor quality of teaching. The class was three hours every Monday and Wednesday. The lecture time spent by the instructor was mayb3 45 minutes before he was packing up his briefcase and shoeing students out. One of the worst instructors that Mesa has. A review of this instructor would not be a bad idea.

Everything is straight from the textbook, even the test questions, he is very understanding, as long as you show you're trying he will be lenient, he will let you skip test questions and finish it another day, or let you use notes on test if you ask him nicely.

very easy class. He tells you what's going to be on the test. you can get the answers from the back of the book, all you need to do is show work.
