Easily the worst and most disliked communication professors at Marist College. Will talk your ears off about nothing important. Weird dude, don't ever take a class with him. If by accident you are in a class with him, drop it immediantly.

Honestly, Professor Bass is not the bad professor some people think he is. He really enjoys what he teaches, and makes it enjoyable for his students. A little dry at times, but otherwise, no complaints!

He did indeed touch some girls on the face in front of the whole class. He doesnt care about anything. He said, Maybe I should start drinking earlier. He will yell at everyone for everything. When it comes to teaching he is awful.

extremely tough grader. will take off points for any little thing he can find. his attitude is offputting and i do not enjoy the class. he failed me on one of my presentations because "i talked too fast"- do not take him!!

Bass can be tough on you the first class you have with him. You just need to get used to him and show that you are passionate and work hard. I hated him the first class i had with him, but now he's my favorite professor. He really is knowledgeable and once you get to know him, he is very helpful. Definitely recommend taking this class.

I feel bad for being harsh on my course eval for Prof Bass. He really loves what he does, and simply has no time for slackers. He works REALLY well with a small group of students who feel as passionately about editing as he does. I highly recommend getting Avid certified with him after taking editing (MDIA 302). He's really strict, but worth it.

Heard some scary things before the semester started. He was intimidating, but he tried to be patient and help everyone fairly. Lab had some tech problems so he was very understanding. AVID program takes a lot of getting used to, but he really tries to prepare you for the future. Group projects saved me, also had to put in time on a production set.

Bass deserves and demands respect. If you understand this, you will do well in his classes. He teaches thoroughly and because I was attentive and took notes, I did well. Don't be late, and don't take anything personally, and you should learn a lot from professor Bass.

I've never hated a professor so much. He is an unpleasant human being and a horrible teacher. Yes, he is AVID certified and a "professional lecturer," but he has a negative attitude towards students, discourages their questions, and does not know how to present material in an effective way. He will belittle you and ruin your hopes and dreams.

Bass gets a lot of hate, but if you go to class and do what he expects of you- it's easy to get an A. And, as long as you are respectful of him and don't waste time you can get away with a lot of joking around. TV Pro I and II were the best classes at Marist because I had so much fun. Interesting assignments, too.

This is his easiest class. The directors of the films will have the most work to do and probably more responsibility than the other students in the group, but overall, there is a lot of freedom in the class. He did go over everything we need to know in order to make the films, but he should have made sure that everyone understood everything.

He knows his stuff!The tests are hard, but the projects are fun. Pick a partner that you'll work well with, and you CAN get an A on your main project.Bass gets flack for being a perfectionist, but honestly,he wouldn't be critical unless he cared.Is he a bit critical? Sure, but he gives praise where it is due-&You will delight in his dry, dry jokes!

Bass is there if you need help, will answer any questions you have, and treats this class like it was a real job. He expects you to be there on time and participate. He has high expectations but will be there if you do need the help. Really loved this class.

Quit hatin on Bass. He's pretty stone faced and won't tolerate (much) fooling around in the Studio. I personally find him a really funny quirky individual and thoroughly enjoy his class. Everyone in class seems to have a good time. It's probably the first class at Marist where I was excited to review powerpoints just to hear his deadpan dry voice.

Bass, knows his stuff. The problem is he has a stick up his ass and has no patience, so he's probably not going be very helpful because he'll be too busy trying to prove he knows tv production better than you... which I'd hope was the case. You could do worse but still he needs a backhand. plays favorites big time.
