Comment:

He is a great professor. However, he is over-analytical with his lecture content. If you take his class, make sure you have good study habits and lots of memorization skills. His tests require A LOT of little detail to memorize. His quizzes are easy and come straight from the books. He does assign many papers but in short length.

Comment:

Wonderful professor. Goes through some of the tough ethical topics of today and presents every side of the argument well in order for you to form your own opinion. Very caring, I emailed him with a bunch of questions and he answered in great detail and provided extra info for me to find my answers. SG for every test, easy online quizzes weekly.

I have had two classes with Dr. Vandergriff and loved them both. He knows so much and has a passion for making you dig deeper and ask tough questions. Best professor that I have had at Campbell. I highly recommend taking his classes!!

He is a very nice man, and is very professional. I did not agree with how he graded his research paper. A lot of students thought his criteria was not thorough enough. Start your research paper early and go to him to check it before you turn it in for your final grade. He does offer extra credit at least once in the semester it's usually 15 points.

The class was good, i enjoyed it quite a bit, the professor is great, i think academic biblical scholarship tries to over analyze every little detail in the bible and that is somewhat apparent in this class i thought, but overall Professor V does a great job. the tests are kinda hard but study hard the night before and youll Ace them

Fantastic professor! He is clear, approachable, objective, helpful, and friendly! He is intentional about not preaching to students, but instead sharing knowledge. He clearly defines historical fact from faith confession. Follow his study guides and read the text! Tests were a balanced challenge. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Ethics! Class could be more interesting but he preaches insteads of invovling class in group discussion, definitely will put you to sleep. Test are easy, a lot of memorization but material is interesting.

I love his classes, he is a great professor. He really knows what his is talking about and he would bend over backwards to help anyone. You have to take a lot of notes but if you do then you will make an A. I would highly suggest taking him for Religion classes :).

This guy is the right teacher for Christian Ethics. He's very intelligent and really gets into his stuff. The first part of the semester is a bit dry with background material, but once into discussions, it gets extremely fun. Definitely recommend over World Religions
