Take this class! I did not expect to go into this class and learn as much as I did! She really teaches you about information that matters in the real world! You will get so much out of the class! Everything is done in groups (that she picks) and you do resumes, cover letters etc. She will give you so much feedback to make your work an A!

Dr. Magas' Writing for Business class is extremely helpful for students of all majors. This class is focused on gaining skills and confidence that will help you find a career. Dr. Magas focused all the assignments on creating our personal and professional brands to help us on the job hunt. I learned how to write my resume, cover letter, thank you letter, request for a recommendation from a professor, LinkedIn profile, business card, and elevator speech. I also learned how to write business memos and emails.

Loved her and her class. She teaches you everything you'll need to know one day when applying for a job (resume, interviews, etc.) I interned at her PR firm and that was also a great experience. Wants you to do well, offers help and extra credit. Group work is fun and manageable. Take the class, it definitely won't hurt.

Dr. Magas is an awesome teacher. I don't understand anyone who didn't enjoy this class. You work in groups and as long as you communicate well with your group members this class is easy. She is so easy to talk to and will help you in any which way she can. Take her you wont regret it!

u work in groups, its the same group for the enitre semester. this was very stressful and it seems easier to work individually but it was a good experience that u can take into the real world. The class was not hard at all. lots of extra credit opportunities. no book!!and if you dont mind doing work for her business its worth taking her class

This class was AWFUL!! I learned nothing except everything abour her PR firm and what my class could do to benefit it. We missed almost half the semester for "group meetings". She didn't teach anything and used previous student samples to guide us through the project. Basically you pay her to do work for her company. BAD teacher.

Dr. Magas was amazing! She helped us with our writing and her expectations are very clear. She is very easy to talk to and makes class fun with her crazy stories. Take her, you won't be bored. But make sure you pay attention because she tends to know who is and who isn't paying attention.

This woman is amazing! She is super busy with teaching and law stuff and PR stuff, but is always available to her students by phione and e-mail. She is truly the most approachable, funny, smart, entertaining professor I've ever had!
