Literally the worst teacher ever. Passive aggressive. I had a medical excuse for not being in class for two weeks and she didn't care at all. I only passed because I had taken stats before. FIND A DIFFERENT TEACHER.

Shook is by far the worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. She needs to get a grip on reality. I'd rather have someone take a dump in my mouth than ever speak to this lady ever again. DONT TAKE THIS CLASS. SHOOK DOESNT DESERVE TO TEACH PRESCHOOLERS HOW TO WIPE THEMSELVES.

Please for the love of God, if you need to take Stat 200 like I did, FIND A DIFFERENT TEACHER!!!! You know that kind of girl that's a tumblr SJW, thinks she special and quirky? That's this lady all grown up. You're learning all the material all by yourself, have to take quizes 2x a week, and she's passive aggressive to boot.

To be honest this class is really you paying to learn things yourself. If you actually do go to lecture which nobody did because it wasn't helpful or necessary, the notes are all over the place. The lab quizzes are ridiculous and she is one of those teachers who'd rather see you do poorly because it means her class is "tough". Awful.

Her way of teaching this class by doing lecture quiz was obsolete. She only shows how to solve examples in class without explaining fundamentals of the statistics. I feel like I got nothing out of this class.

This class is absolutely awful. The teacher never attends lessons and expects you to learn on your own. She offers little to no help and is not understanding. It's almost like she enjoys students to fail. DO NOT TAKE HER if you actually want to learn valuable lessons in statistics or get an easy A. It will kill you. This was a waste of my time.

This class is pretty much an online class. You meet 4 times a week, but only 1 session is mandatory (you have to physically turn in a paper). Other activities are done online. If you prefer to work independently, take this class with Shook. Lectures are recorded videos, if you want a traditional setting, do not take this class with this professor.

Overall, this class is terrible Her teaching method is brutal You watch about an hours worth of her talking and writing on a sheet before EVERY lecture I could maybe focus for a total of 3 minutes before I was ready to fall asleep The only reason I got an A was because she gives a ton of extra credit you get for attending class Exams are hard

Need to take Stat? Need an A? Why not an A for 4 credits? Let's not get crazy! Taking this class is a guaranteed A, with little work, and little learning. Do the labs, quizzes, and all the tons of busy work and you are golden. Terrible teacher, you will want to gouge your eyes out midway through the semester. I'll take my easy A regardless.

I could not tell you one thing about Statistics, and yet I still have an A in the class. The final is mandatory now instead of extra credit, but you are offered 210 built-in Extra credit points. (930 points is an A and 1140 are offered). You're allowed to work in groups for just about everything so the work is easy to manage.

She is not a good teacher at all. After three weeks of coming to class, I stopped because it was pointless. She post the lecture notes and audio of version of the lecture on Angel so I just listen to those on my free time. Depending on the subject, the lectures are a great help but the book is definitely more useful most of the time.

easy A. she explains things pretty well during lectures, but basically set in the first day that she's callous, and doesn't appear to like students, or even being a teacher. labs are annoying, but only worth 2 points each. there are 100pts of extra credit, which is awesome. overall, I would choose this class again.

Easiest class ever. Labs and homework are repetitive, but they are worth a lot of points. Lectures are pointless, she reads directly off the slides you print out and flies through them. 930 points out of 1110 is an A in the class, which is around an 84%. Very very easy class

if you are willing to keep up with the weekly assignments (online quizzed,online hw, labs..) then u will be fine.. most of the test questions come from the online quizzes.. she does take attendance but there are 2pt assignments every class so if your willing to miss out on 2 pts you can skip. easy AAA

She is the best teacher ever I don't know what people on here are talking about her being hard. The tests are all extremely easy and you can work in groups on everything if you want. I would highly recommend her to anyone that has to take stat 200. This is one of the easiest A's i've ever earned.
