If you have health issues and tend to miss class due to them don't expect to even be able to take the final. That's what happened to me even though I had the work done he failed me because of the writing and attendance.

His expectations are insane for a level 102 class. Does not give much direction as far as what he is looking for then marks you down for not doing things the way he wants. Take any other instructor but him. His class really is terrible.

He is awful. His level of critique is absolutely ridiculous for an ENG 102 course. Stay far far away from this instructor. I took his class online which I would definitely not recommend. He may be better on campus, I don't know. I honestly wouldn't chance it though.

You write 5 essays all together for you final grade. Very easy, I wrote the essays, the 750 word essays, night before and got A's and B's on all of them. You also take 5 small grammar quizzes and never have any real homework. He keeps you awake and interested, and would give him a solid A. English 102 I wanted him but got Karen Roff- the worst.

Taking this course/instructor was the absolute worst decision I have made in my entire educational career!I protested to the dean and recieved a late drop grant. If oyu can avoid him, do it, if oyu cannot, be ready to withdraw and redo the course. AWFUL. No communication, feedback, direction. Highly critical and judgemental. RUDE!

Neese gave me a C- on a directive paper, so I took it to 4 other ENG profs at SC4 to evaluate. ALL gave me an "A" rating. This speaks volumes about Neese. He is an unhappy bitter man out to disrupt those with their life ahead of them out of pure jealousy.I cannot believe this man is still teaching. How sad that some will take him out of necessity.

This guy is a joke. Seems like he had big dreams of being a prestigous University Prof and failed and now takes it out on all his tsudents. Even faculty calls him unreasonable. Does not clarify assignment requisites then nearly fails students without commnet. A disgrace with unrealistic ideals for a mandatory ENG 102 class. I withdrew.RUN!!!!!!!

This was the worst teacher I have ever had. Claimed that I did not do any of my own work, and that I plagiarized all of my papers. Of the three papers I wrote for him he only graded one, and the others he said I plagiarized. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS IT WILL LOWER YOUR GPA.

This professor was completely awful. I'm pretty sure he had no interest in english, and just did it for something to do. Had a lot of student so normal assignments received no attention or feedback, on your own for the essays and things that counted. Very condescending and generally rude. I did pretty well in his class, I would never take him again

I had this guy 10 years ago for eng 101 and 102, and I got the worst grades I have EVER gotten fro him, and they are coming back to haunt me. I have to retake these classes now. If you do not write papers the way HE would have wrote them, you get a bad grade, grammer, spelling, ect doesn't matter. Impossible.

I will never take this teacher again! He was aweful! I would write a paper, submit it for him to look over and he would send it back with a note saying that I was using someone else's work! I even totally rewrote that papers and he would still say the same thing. I had to drop the class because he would not give any help what so ever!

I did not like how difficult his class was. He did not give any indication of what you did wrong on your assignments or how to improve your work. So if you are not good at english than you are pretty much screwed in this class. I have never gotten as bad of a grade as I had in this class, a C.

I am an english major and have always enjoyed english classes. I did not enjoy this class at all. I did well on the quizzes, but his paper's are horriable. He would give you grades, and never tell you why you would recieve that grade. I have recieved the lowest grade in his class than I have ever recieved in a english class.

I've been a fulltime student from 1st grade up until now, my 4th year in college. I was valedictorian at a college prep private school. I got my lowest grade of all time, a B-, in his class; and I got A's in organic chem! He never answered my questions, he only gave A's to people he liked, regardless of the quality of their work.
