I enjoyed learning from Dr. C throughout the semester. He was very approachable with questions outside of class, and his lectures were interesting. I am glad that I had this professor for my first organic chemistry course.

People come to this class expecting to do minimum work to get maximum grades. Not gonna happen. Do the HW carefully and try to understand every single thing, it trains you for the exams and u dont even have to study for the exams. Planning to go to grad schools? It only gets harder from here. So, you gotta work your ass off to earn it. It's life.

A massive amount of homework that is worth such a small % of the grade. Takes at least 4 hours to do. 3 tests and 1 final is pretty much all your grade (93% total). This class with his structure is ridiculous and getting an A requires 150% effort. Do not take him unless you are less than 12 credits per semester as you need lots of time to study.

Professor C is definitely a professor I will never forget. He is super approachable if you have any questions. The hard work a student puts into his class does not go unnoticed. To succeed in his class I suggest reading over his lecture notes, do all the homework and the worksheets. Worksheets are similar to his exams. Overall he is very good

THIS is who a chemistry professor should be. He's personable, goes over every little detail, and has very helpful assignments. No wasted time. Your grade reflects your effort, but this is not an impossible course. I implore you to take this class (OCHEM) with this professor.

Super helpful. For every lab, he made sure you knew what you were doing and took his time to go over all the mistakes you have done & made sure your calculations were somewhat good. There were 2 lab tests & its basically a repeat from a previous lab you have done. Lots of calculation for this lab but he will help you with all of it!

Orgo is not an easy course but he tries his best to explain the concepts to you. Do your homework and worksheet (exams are similar to worksheet more). His lab is doable but time consuming though. Take this course when you are still at OCC because wherever you transfer to, there's a higher chance you will have a hard time there, trust me.

I had him for Organic Chemistry Lab & Lecture both semesters. Organic chemistry is supposed to be a hard class, and it is. He helps and he wants the (approximately 97%) of his students who are pre-medical to do well on the MCAT. He is friendly and the type students come back to visit months after class is over. Would gladly choose his class again.

Mr. C is an outstanding professor. He truly cares about his students and does everything he can to help you learn the material. If you want an A, you will work harder than any you have in any other class though. His tests cover everything from lecture, so BE PREPARED. Do the homework and practice practice practice. I highly recommend him.

He makes Ochem easier. Make sure you prepare and ATTEND lectures. He covers everything on exams during lectures so make sure you don't miss any. Focus on his worksheets as it's similar to exam questions. Thanks to him, I find my biochemistry class much accessible.

He has a gift of making light of a heavy subject. He cares. He has to see you really work for it (and in my case fall apart) to give high grade

Mr.C is an amazing professor for many reasons. Take him if you plan to going into science or a medical field. You will work for an A, but reasonable work. B and C are easy. He is patient, caring, and no questions are dumb with him. He is able to take hard concepts and make them easier to understand. Attend lecture + do homework A

Congleton is a very nice guy and decent lecturer. His tests are mildly difficult, they are fairly representative of what he teaches in class. Only problem with him is that during lecture, he will give ridiculously easy examples. However, once you get to the homework, the problems are WAY harder than what he prepares you for. Very frustrating.

I would recommend not taking labs the same day as lecture. I've had to finish lecture homework, do a prelab, and write a lab report that were all due on the same day, and it's torturous. Also, imagine coming out of a lecture midterm just to spend another 4 hours in lab. Our lectures were MW, TTH labs def had the advantage.

Best teacher I've ever had, helps you through ochem and is there for help with future chemistry classes! His lectures are easy to understand and he's super nice. Do the homework, his tests resemble the worksheets more than the bookwork but still do the bookwork.

He is such a sweet person and great teacher. He is so passionate in Ochem and wishes all his students to do well. His notes are so organized and clear. You must do the homework though in order to ace his class. Practice is the key. I got a C on the first exam and Ace all my other exams and got an A. Do not underestimate his class.

Took him for Chem 220 and 225. One of the best professors at OCC. The lecture notes and office hours really helped. He cares about his student's success. Extremely nice teacher, too. Take him.
