Comment:

McEnroe isn't a bad guy, just shouldn't be teaching anymore. I wouldn't have passed this class if I didn't teach it to myself. His lectures are confusing and drag on, but his midterm and final are pretty similar to the homework he assigns so as long as you keep up with that you'll be fine.

Comment:

I am more lukewarm about him than I was after 304. Content before the midterm is more difficult (only 3 people received over 90). Dont get discouraged by a poor midterm result: final was much easier. If you know how to do the homework, youll be just fine. Not a great teacher, but I love how transparent he is about the topics covered on the exams.

Comment:

McEnroe's class is very simple. He lectures, assigns homework, and then calls on you to go over the homework. He has very sarcastic and witty comments that always get a chuckle out of the class. He's very transparent when it comes to midterm, final, and grading. He tells you what to expect, and as long as you review the homework, you should be fine

Comment:

McEnroe was solid. Clear on what was expected of us and went over the homework in class. Like others have said, if you do all of the homework and know how to do it, you'll be set for the exams. 20% of the class is graded off of a presentation, participation, and an easy excel problem that are all meant to help your grade (40% midterm/40% final).

Professor McEnroe has a great deal of knowledge in the accounting field and he tries passing that down to each and every one of his students. He makes hysterical jokes out of nowhere that'll take a little while to get. He's always willing to help if you're struggling in the class. Study early and often for the tests, because they aren't easy.

Great guy, his teaching is a little confusing but he tries his best for his age. Be ready to learn on your own. Make sure you do homework, he calls on students for credit. As for the exams, based straight off the homework, easy if you know what you're doing and study the homework. Definitely Recommend!

Comment:

Dr. McEnroe was not a very interactive and engaging professor. The class was pretty easy though if you are willing to put a little bit of effort in. Overall though you probably will not get much out of the course itself. I did a lot of studying outside of class, which was helpful but I would have liked to learn a little more in the class.

He was a very average teacher. You either liked him or you didn't. He was very passionate about accounting. I was very confused in his class and basically memorized the homework answers for the test not knowing why the answers were what they were and got an alright grade.

I'm the same guy as the 304 review, so I'll keep it brief. There's a lot of stuff you have to memorize, but it's doable. Sometimes he can be confusing but if you need help go to his office, he's welcoming. I got my first A in acc off him so just study and you'll do fine.

I'm not the smartest in the Strobels program but I worked hard to understand the homework and notes and wound up with a B. Mid/final is pretty much understanding the HW and notes. Unlike a certain other prof, McEnroe is pretty helpful. There's a curve. Take him if you can, be relieved if you have to.

Best ACC professor! Participation is based on answering homework problems in class but he puts the homework answers online so there is no reason you'd get the answer wrong. And even if you do get it wrong he gives you credit if you tried! Tests are just like homework problems...there are no surprises but make sure to go over the homework before!
