Comment:

I loved this class! I had not taken an English class since high school over 3 years ago and Dr. Wietting was very helpful with grading. The way he grades essays is he progressively increases the points, so as your writing gets better the points are also more valuable. I loved this grading system as my first essay was pretty rusty.

I had him for fifth grade and couldnt believe it when I saw him as a professor here! Took it and he was as amazing as I remember.

Comment:

Took him during the summer and wasn't hard at all. Gives very good feedback. Gives lots of extra credit, but attendance was mandatory. Also there was a paper due like every week but it was really easy and he focuses on grammar a lot so just following the directions can guarantee you a good grade. I recommend for an easy A and good professor!!

If you want to learn he is the professor to take. We have a couple of papers to do during the semester but he gives you plenty of time to do each. He is very helpful. If you need anything he can help you! I definitely recommend him!!!!!

He is not a good professor. Look for another one if English is not your first language. You will need to go to the writing center a lot to improve and revise your essay before turning it in to him otherwise you will get a c. Don't recommend him to anybody. He is a very tough grader as he makes you lose points for silly mistakes.

I took Professor Wietting, Spring 2015-English A. The class it self was easy at first, towards the end the class was more difficult. A few people dropped his class because we had assignments due every week. He is strict with his grading but taking the class is worth it if you want to improve your writing.

Comment:

Took English A for Fall 2014 semester, and it was a really helpful class! His lectures are very helpful if you pay attention and he really takes the time to make sure you know the material. It's not a hard class, just do the work, listen to the lectures and and advice on your essays. Highly recommend this class if you want to improve your writing!

I had taken this professor back in Fall 2013 (my first semester) at a night class, amazing dude! He is super helpful and kind, and if you finish your work early he lets you leave! The textbook wasn't all that needed since I could find all the reading online. If you have trouble with writing essays take him, he will help a ton!

He always helped the students out! He would stay after class for any questions & for help on papers. He's a sweet old man, but is also funny! Was very comfortable in that class! I would recommend to struggling English students.

Easy A!!! Just do your work. He lets you turn in late assignments. Attendance isn't mandatory. Classes may be a bit boring but he's a cool professor overall. Recommend!

extremely nice and helpful! i improved my writing skills immensly, started his class with a C average paper to an A! just be sure to listen to his lectures there very helpful. only problem is hes alittle unorganized/everywhere but he has the best intentions. cant fail!

great teacher! he has high hopes for all of his students! the class is very very very chill, but sometimes its boring. just do the Homework which is mostly reading response and the essay is a MUST!!!!! then you'll be fine!

Having had a bad experience with another English A teacher, I was reluctant to try again, but Mr. Wietting made me like English again. Strongly recommend him, but you have to work long hours, and attend class.
