I will have to retake this course again, I was just a few points shy of a B which I have to have for my major. Butler is a good professor just a very harsh grader.

Be prepared to listen and write your notes during class! He talks really slow but it helps since he doesn't have a powerpoint to read off of. The tests are on only things he talks about in lecture. If you end with an A before the final exam you don't have to take it. Also, he hates when people ask questions in lecture, so just email him.

I took Butler's A&P II class and was very prepared for the nursing program! He is very straight forward and taught everything I needed to know about the systems. You don't need the book, as his notes are very in-depth.

Loved Dr. Butler! AP2 with him is very straightforward. He tells you everything you need to know, you just have to know it. There is a lot of info in the class, but his lectures are great. He does a lot of drawing on the board. He can be a bit intimidating, but he lays everything out in lecture so there is no need for questions.

Do not miss a class or you will suffer. His tests are literally from his lecture notes so don't bother with the book. The material is already hard on its own but he made it understandable. Just take good lecture notes and you will pass this class easily but watch out for spelling!

PICKY!!! If you take this class, know he is picky on his answers. You must attend every lecture, but his tests are not that hard. Just know every single detail about the material covered. The lab is HARD, so do the best you can in lecture. 3 exams, 1 final, 6 quizzes. Not that hard to pass, just remember to use the same words he does.

Dr. Butler is amazing. He truly cares about his pupils. If you don't take initiative, you will not pass. He teaches difficult subject matter, but if you pay attention you'll succeed. He wrote me an amazing letter of recommendation for my M.S. GO TO OPEN LAB!

Seriously the BEST teacher. His tests and quizzes are verbatim the notes in class and you don't need a book. If you don't want to have to go to class, don't be a biology major.

Definitely a fun class. You get to go on several field trips, which are rather interesting. The class requires a near impossible amount of memorization.

Human Structure/Function was Great! SO clear in lecture, writes slowly on the board and repeats important info. Spelling counts on everything, but really, just learn it! Only tests on class notes, so book is useless. Can miss a total of 55/550 points to be exempt from final! Not an evil man! Quizzes are fill in the blank, yet simple! Tests are fine

Doesn't use book, so you have to go and listen to his lectures. His lectures are unclear and when asked a question he tends to say you're not getting it and there is no time to explain. I think he has been teaching for so long that he just goes through the motions. Quizes-fill in blank, Test-matching, fill in blank, multiple choice.

Terrible professor. Seems more interested in his research than helping his students. Tests, quizzes or practicals every week from class notes, but he's never clear in class. Lots of hard material made harder by a bad professor. Avoid at all costs.

Hardest class I've ever taken. Test or quiz every week. Expects you to memorize every word he says. Sit up front or you won't be able to hear him during lecture. Unhelpful when you ask him a question. Read the book because hell pull out random facts from it. Don't take this class unless its required.

His exams are very hard but it's 4000 level course. Of course you have to study very hard. He's very nice and helpful. Also curves exam grades if class average is too low. He gave points more than fair. If you study real hard A is possible.

Dr. Butler is a very tough but fair prof. Explains things well and will help you. Canine Anatomy was the hardest class I've ever taken. Record lectures and take good notes. Exams are FIB/TF, final is comprehensive. Counts spelling. He is a good teacher but be prepared to work your butt off!

butler was awesome if you're looking to take him for A&P 2. only downside is you need to be in class everyday to get the notes and your hand is going to hurt afterwards. no attendance policy or book required. tests were fill in the blank, matching, and multiple choice. multiple choice could be tricky but overall this was a good course.

I don't understand what all these people are talking about. It's college - you are supposed to work hard, and Butler prepares you to do that. Excellent class, great field trips, and not difficult if you put the time in. Go Butler!!
