Comment:

I took History of Early Medicine with her and it was torture. The lectures were boring and monotonous each time. She's an insanely tough grader and is very picky about citations. The only plus of this class was that the 3 exams were take home, but this allowed her to grade even harsher in her eyes. Wish I hadn't taken the class.

Amazing advisor, mentor, professor, department chair. Easy to talk to, easy to relate to, always available for extra help. Challenging but very encouraging. The best of the best. Dr. Laskaris is the reason I haven't dropped out of school.

She talks about random topics in the readings and then goes on a tangent about them. Very difficult to follow and very easy to lose attention. She's an average grader, not hard yet not easy. A lot of extra credit opportunities and she is the best with late papers. A lot of reading on some difficultly worded material. She also takes long to grade.

Pretty boring, doesn't really add anything to make the class interesting. She knows what she's talking about and is funny in a really weird kind of way. Very lenient on a lot of things like due dates and such. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Incredibly tough on grammar

Took Greek First year seminar. She clearly knows a lot about the topic but her lectures are very slow so you're not really motivated to participate. Also, with grading papers she is very nitty gritty about grammar and little things. Easy to get a B or higher if you try, but it's hard to be motivated.

I took her History of Medicine class. It was very boring. She assigned far too much reading for each class and it was clear no one did it. The discussions never got deeper than "So, what did you guys think?" Literally no one wanted to participate because of how dull she made it. Coming to class isn't necessary. She is an unnecessarily hard grader.

extremely boring class, does not call on you unless you raise your hand, no participation grade. few pop quizzes which are relatively easy, final wasn't too difficult and only 1 term paper. easy class to fulfill lit requirement with minimal work

Pretty chill teacher for core. She doesn't expect much participation and hardly gives any work. We had 2 essays all semester and maybe 4 predictable pop-quizzes. She is a very kind lady who cares about her students, although she can be very weird at times.

Because of her i love core. The imfamous laugh, yes... i find it helps to make the class much more laid back and entertaining. quite hilarious, actually. She's very open to all opinions. She's a fair grader and a really nice lady.

An excellent professor. Greek is a hard class, but she made it enjoyable and interesting. Extremely competent, immensely approachable, and forgiving on grading.
