Terrible teacher. Was looking forward to her class at beginning of year. Recommended great ideas and was continuously shut down. Does NOT help you with questions, simply restates them and makes you figure them out. I pray for your soul if you get her.

Comment:

Her class was unnecessarily tedious. The tediousness did not serve to better teach the material. It was just her overly strict teaching style. Normally, there is no professor that I cant work with because I do my part, earn the A, and dont make excuses. I dropped her class and took it with another hard professor and learned so much more.

She was not a good teacher at all and her tests were very hard. I emailed her a question about a grade she put in wrong. She refused to change it and I ended up failing the class. If she would have taken the time to change it, I would have passed.

The lessons are dry. Had to study a lot outside of class. Professor Manderfield did not offer much help during/before/after class. If you can, switch professors.

As a bio major, Manderfield was incredibly disappointing. With militantly strict rules and almost sadistic 'mulligans', she had half of the class drop out in lecture 1. By lecture 2, the rest left due to her overbearing work load and unfair grading. She made bio a chore. I left before it got any worse, which according to my friend it did.

BEWARE OF THIS TEACHER!!! I struggled in this course and I'm a straight A student. Even when you try to ask for help, she gives an attitude and won't explain anything. TOUGH GRADER. BEWARE OF POP QUIZZES (super difficult) She's an awful teacher, I do not recommend her to anyone. stay far away!

This was a very difficult class but she was a great teacher. I learned so much. It is possible to earn good grades if you work for them. She gives you PowerPoints and other assignments and resources to help you study.

She is the absolutely worst teacher I have ever had. If you mess up one thing there is no way to raise your grade back up. I got an A on one of the lab practicals and my grade actually dropped. This happened to other people as well. If you ask for help you will not get it. She has an attitude if you ask a question. Doesnt care about students

She is not a good teacher, and you will struggle. She doesn't care about her students or their grades. When you asked questions she makes you feel dumb. Labs and quizzes help maintain your grade. her exams are overly hard and contain material that is not covered. This class is very difficult and hard to pass with a good grade. Wouldn't recommend.

Took her summer Bio 110 class which was 2 days a week (M,W). Obviously it was compact into the 2 month class for the lecture and lab. If you studied the practice exams that are in the library, then the exams are easy A's. Lectures were a bit boring but i learned what i needed. Good experience overall.

She is a tough teacher, clear-cut and no surprises. You can tell she loves her job and her personality loosens up as the semester goes on. This is not an easy class but not impossible if you put in the work. Keep up on reading, do not miss a class, take lots of notes, and ask questions. Take advantage of the sample tests!

Mrs. Manderfield is a wonderful teacher. She is strict and when you study the material you will have the knowledge for the rest of your life. I rely on the information that she taught me everyday in my career as a nursing administrator.

She's incredibly strict. She doesn't let students come back in the class room, even if they just step out to the rest room. She goes off on tagents often. She does not allow make ups even in extenuating circumstances. She is very pretentious and doesn't care about her students. If you get her see if you can switch teachers.

She was insanely rude & condescending. I received no help from her what so ever, only major attitude. Worst professor I have had. Also a bunch of busy work. I had to leave to go to the counsellors for something urgent ONE time, & even after explaining that to her, she was very rude & accused me of not showing up to her class. I was there everyday

Very helpful professor, who not only answered my questions with clarity but gave extra information which I see as helpful for future use. I enjoyed her class's structure for it was ordered and everything kept neat. Overall, I thought it was a enjoyable class and I would take another course taught by her again.

I think she is an awesome teacher and she definitely knows what she is talking about. I would say she is passionate about biology! You just have to pay close attention and DONT BE LATE! Pay attention to the videos and powerpoints!

Comment:

Over teaches the class, she always tell us to look up information that we do not need on the test. Gives you practice tests to help you study and they are NOTHING like the real test. Avoid getting her as best you can.
