Comment:

She's very nice, and wants you to do well. There are weekly assignments, but everything is clearly outlined; it seems hard to do poorly in this class. She applies real-world experiences to her classroom. Most importantly, she actually knows the subject AND knows how to teach it! Incredibly sweet and helpful. I fully recommend her!

I really enjoyed her class. It was a lot of work and you actually have to learn how to play the recorder for the lab portion, but i honestly didn't mind one bit. Some of her hw assignments were time consuming, but I ended up getting an A in everything. We had about 2 presentations which were super simple, and you have to make your own instrument!:D

She is crystal clear with her expectations and what you need to do to get an A. If you don't get an A you either did not follow directions or were lazy. You MUST put in effort in this class. Assignments take time and effort, but as long as you TRY, she is willing to help you succeed. Cares a lot about her profession. Has experience. Recommended.

Professor Dell is a great instructor. I was so intimidated of this music class because I have no music knowledge. She made everything really basic and slow pace. She is very accommodating also. There are kind of a lot of assignments, but she makes the class enjoyable!

Directions are EXTREMELY clear! Assignments are easy. Prof. Dell is really helpful and makes herself available to her students. There is no way you cant pass this class.

Prof. Dell has got to be the most helpful and kind professor in CSUN. Her expectations are CRYSTAL CLEAR and she is so helpful with her feedback and tips to succeed. She is supportive and very sweet, and she made our class fun and interesting. Take her class! You will learn good info about music, and her grading is very fair and clear. So sweet!

If you got anything less than a B you're an idiot. She was crystal clear in her expectations for assignments + exams. Class was fun, lots of singing and playing instruments. She's approachable + will work with you. She is patient + encouraging but expects you to be engaged + involved. Her classes were always organized and streamlined. Educational!

What a terrible teacher. I wish I had more than 350 characters at my disposal to really put how I feel about this teacher. Most of my feelings have been covered already by other posters though. This teacher needs to be fired. If you have a choice, take this class with anyone else. She will make you not enjoy music anymore.

She is very unorganized (to the point of seeming like she's winging it), and is EXTREMELY unclear with instructions, regardless of whether they're written or verbal. This class required a ton of work, and taught me almost nothing. Worst of all, she wanted us to present final projects before explaining what was required for them. Avoid her class.

The professor was unorganized at times and portrayed unrealistic goals for 1st time music students. There were many who struggled throughout the class who did not have a solid understanding of music. Attendance/tardy policy was extremely strict. And went above and beyond to trick students on the final, while boasting about her test creation skills

She talks way too fast. Assignments require hours beyond belief. If you spelled one thing wrong, you were counted off. However, on her tests, she writes "Name" "Date" and "Role #." Word usage error here in "Role." The class has caused me too view music as a negative. Horrible experience of having to perform in front of others. Don't bother.

Thank god I have a strong music background-she moves too fast for people learning material for the 1st time-my classmates were lost.1st day is spent discouraging people from taking her class.She humiliates people in front of others,emphasises professionalism & was adament about our attendance yet was absent 4 seperate times.Don't waste your time!!

The class requires a lot of time and practice, but she is very clear about the requirements and assignments. As long as you keep up and study, an A can be achieved. If you fall behind, it is difficult to catch up in the end.
