Hands down one of the best Professors at RCC. Prof Walters made this class anxiety free. Hes funny, charismatic, and makes class exciting. There was Never a dull moment in speech 101. A few speeches and final exam is required, and no text book. You wont regret taking speech 101 with Prof Walters.

Very compassionate and caring professor, but the three hour class is painfully boring. Further, only complaint is his spends too much time discussing poetry, other than that he is great.

I really liked this professor. Here are a few tips: Walters was really bothered by cell phones.. Will take points away. Grades pretty tough if you're looking to get an A. Good news is he gives plenty of extra credit opportunities mainly through participation points. He will not accept late work but gives you till he hands papers back to hand in.

Took his class online. I felt that he nitpicked at unnecessary word choices in my Essay's that did not disrupt the overall meaning of my papers. He will force his own "Theory" of literature over your own interpretation and can be somewhat ill-mannered when commenting on people's Essays. Does not focus on your ability to answer essay prompt.

Took his online children's lit class and it was really easy. Only issue I had was that he never answered a single one of my emails, and they were questions I had about his papers/the final exam, which was super annoying. His essays are really simple which can be frustrating but easy if you're just trying to pass.

Very easy-going. Its a speech class, what do you expect? Everyone has stage freight so it is not an easy course for him to teach but he makes it worth while.

You don't need the textbook,he tells you not to buy it. We did about 6 speeches and they were all under 5 minutes. He doesn't time the speeches so don't worry about the length, some people even did a 30 second speech and got an A, very easy grader just do his speech outlines and be prepared for your speech and you will do fine.

I don't usually do this, but I have to give credit where it is due. I've always been into literature but Professor Walters made me look at it in a different way. He is such an amazing professor. I totally recommend him especially if you like literature. Pay attention to vocabulary words!

Not very clear at all, actually. Reads poems because he enjoys being dramatic, but I wish he's explain the poem as well.Gets side tracked too often and does't finish the though that we need to know.

Insightful, smart man. Good professor. Passionate about poetry and literature, but mostly poetry. Multiple, very fair assignments and 1 final exam with just 50 vocabulary terms. Digressed a bit too much and could have explained poems better rather than just reading them dramatically, otherwise I do recommend.
