I had almost no background in Theology going into this class, and that it made it difficult for me. The majority of kids came from strong religious backgrounds so she would skip over "basic" knowledge that we should know, but I didn't because of my experience. This made the papers extremely tricky because I wasn't 100% sure what I was writing about

I had an upper hand in this class since I had attended a Catholic high school and had already learned some theology. This class was still difficult for me. Be sure to take very good notes in class since the tests are open note. Go in and ask for her opinion on papers since sometimes she looks for very specific things. Very passionate about her work

She is so nice. She is very passionate about Theology and is very objective; just doesn't try to convert you to Catholicism. There is a reading and homework every night, but they aren't bad. Tests and quizzes and homework are all online. They are also all open book, open note so that's super nice. She is very willing to help you outside of class.

Kim Vrudny has been, by far, my favorite teacher at this school. I'm already thinking about getting back into one of her classes, and this is coming from someone who HATES theology. She makes you work, but if you put the effort in, the grade will match up. Also final was online, which was a major plus.

One of the best professors I've had so far! Dr. Vrudny's class is challenging intellectually, but well worth your tuition! Quizzes and homework are reasonable, but she grades really hard on papers. Ask from help from her. Otherwise, this class was worthwhile.

Most amazing Theology professor! She is absolutely hilarious, caring, and wonderful to listen to. She is open about her religious life, and doesn't force it on anybody. The tests are online - open note, and her grading is very fair. She's honest and willing to explain things you ask, definitely recommend her! Can't say enough good things!

Dr. Kimberly Vrudny is possibly the best teacher I have ever had. She is inspiring and thoughtful, and very patient with out of class discussions. She seems like a hardass at first, but she just really cares about Theology deeply. Some of her coursework is a little rote or unrefined but her passion about the topic makes her enthralling to speak to.

Dr. Vrudny is a intelligent, incredibly respectable woman. She is sensitive to people of all faiths, and understands that we do not all have the same point of view. She is hilarious and makes the class interesting and fun. She is explicit about the information you need to know. I would HIGHLY recommend taking a class from her, she is brilliant.

I really enjoyed her class! She is willing to help if you take time to meet with her. Lectures are straightforward but you need to be in class because she does a lot of notes on the board. She is willing to give extensions on things if you have a legitimate reason for them. I definitely recommend her for a professor!

One of the best teachers I have had at UST. Try not to miss class. Keep up on the reading and class will be a lot more interesting. Try to visit her office hours before you write ur papers(try not to overthink them). Would recommend taking in the spring b/c of the way subjects line up with Christian holidays. She enjoys teaching this class.

Dr. Vrudny is one of the best professors I've ever taken. Her passion for theology inspires even those who aren't too interested in the topic (like me) to actually want to go to class. No in-class tests but online "quizzes" that are 50 points/50 questions each. 2 argumentative essays but they aren't too bad. Would definitely recommend this class

Very passionate about this particular material. All quizzes, homework, and final are online!! Answers to these are usually verbatim from lecture. If you miss class you'll miss answers. Very understanding professor, super fun interactive class! Very fair with grading 2 major papers during the semester. Pay attention, go to class and you'll get an A.

You should be able to get an easy A if you attend her class, and actually pay attention. I took her for theo 101 and 200. She is crystal clear, and she is easily the BEST teacher I have had at this school. Pay attention to her syllabus and you should be good

Dr. Vrudny was honestly one of my, if not my favorite professor I have ever had. I am not a very religious person, nor a religious studies major, but she made the lectures so relatable and interesting that it didn't seem to matter. Her approach was new and interesting. Highly recommend her.

Very interesting teaching style. I enjoyed her sense of humor, it is a dry humor but still funny. She made the time pass quickly and I learned a lot. Made me want to become a religious studies major for a few minutes.

Dr. Vrudny is a horrible professor. She is insensitive to other people's view points. Some people don't enjoy Theology! I am not a seminarian, but she graded me like I was. I learned very little except to mindlessly agree with what she said in order to save my grade. If you don't care about your grades-take her. If you do care; AVOID HER

Main gripe is the service learning component NOT mentioned in the course description. It's a huge time commitment, and must be completed outside of class. Class consists of heavy reading, blackboard posts, online quizes, and papers. Overall, it was a demanding class but I learned a lot and think Vrudny is a great, compassionate professor.

Dr. Vrudny is one of the kindest, smartest, and most helpful professors I have had. She doesn't so much care about what you believe, as how you argue for what you believe. Amazing professor! Take her!

Vrundy is an awesome professor, she knows what she is talking about and knows the material. However, you will have to work hard in her class, so be prepared! Class is more enjoyable if people participate, rather than have her lecture the entire time. Overall, excellent professor and highly enjoyable(even more if you go in her office).
