She is one of the funniest professors I have ever had. Her tests were a little bit tough, but If you study you can do good. Her lectures were very interesting because she was really funny. She has a strict phone policy though.

Dr. Ito is very funny and makes lectures easy to follow. The first week of class she makes you get her notebook which is all the notes you need for the year and you just fill in the blank. She also gives you MANY opportunities for "extra credit" that goes toward your test scores. You'll have 3 tests total and "pop quizzes" that are done at home.

Intimidating at first, but I think its just to weed people out who aren't serious. She is so funny and nice. Email/treat her with respect and it will go a long way. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Very accomodating. Makes sociology interesting with storytelling and humor. 3 tests. Can't say enough good things.

She is a great professor and I would take her again & again if I could. She provides you with her notes at the beginning of the semester. As long as you attend class and participate, you will make a good grade. Also, she gives plenty of bonus opportunities.

Dr. Ito is awesome and a really great resource for all aspects of college life. Some may feel she is tough but honestly it is an easy class as long as you show up and listen. She is hilarious and super positive as she said "all of you thought I wouldn't speak English because I'm Japanese but here I am, and I even know how to use ya'll now!"

Really enjoyed her class. She was intimidating at first, but you will learn to love her. Very funny. She will tell you what's on the test. You do NOT need the textbook, but you have to buy the notes she makes (fill-in-the-blank). She will make you participate in class, but will give extra credit. "Pop Quizzes" are great study tools.

Dr. Ito is very animated and she'll keep you engaged while going through the course. Her class is very straight-forward. She makes it easy by requiring you to buy her NoteBook where all you have to do is be in class, listen, and she'll give you the answers to fill in the blanks. I didn't really use the required book, but it doesn't hurt to have it.

Dr. Ito is one of the best professors I have ever had. She made class very enjoyable, and gave good examples to supplement the material. She teaches more than sociology, she also teaches life lessons. Tests are easu if you do the quizzes for homework and study the material in the notebook. Would definitely take another class with her.

Great lady I love her! Very descriptive and she always relates the material to everyday life so it's easier to remember. Offers extra credit of 2 points for participation for your final test grades and semster grades and typed summary of book for 10$ bucks. Will select students by random if they aren't very engaged. An overall blessing to know her!

I have learned so much from Dr. Ito. She is a great professor. Her class is tuff, but she said that most of her class is upper-level and grad school level of material. If you can pass her class; you can pass grad school. You will come out of the course knowing why ours is a society of organizations. She will prepare you for the test, study!

LOVE DR.ITO ! never had a professor that keeps my interest like she does. Don't buy the book, she has you buy a printed study guide you fill out in class. Also don't purchase the Time magazines. She gives out +2 bonus points everyday for class participation/attendance. She tries to intimidate you at first, but her class isn't hard at all. Just study everything she has you write down. 2 major tests, 1 composite final .

Dr. Ito was by far my favorite instructor this semester. She was HILARIOUS. She likes to try to shock people by some of the things she talks about. Some ppl may have been offended, but I doubt that was her intention and never found her offensive. Her fill in the blank notes made class more enjoyable. Tests weren't too bad, just be sure to study!

Very personable to most, but can also be very offensive. She preaches about being kind and respectful of others, but is known for putting her students on the spot, whether they're comfortable or not. I was not impressed with her teaching style or delivery. Have a strong sense of when to hold your tongue if you want to take this class!

Dr. Ito is a wonderful instructor. She is very thorough and encourages class participation. She makes the class FUN! Attendance is manditory, but if you listen and pay attention in class, you can easily do well. Highly recommend her. She's funny and has the class laughing with her animated personality and witty teaching style. Love her!

Dr. Ito is by far the most entertaining and motivating professor Ive had. She keeps your attention and teaches you things you'll remember. I did have to study hard for her tests but she provides you with fill in the blank notes so there is no confusion on what exactly you will need to know. It is vital to attend her class because she takes role.

Dr. Ito is great! I have had her for 3 classes so far and would take another if I could. She is very funny and easy to get along with. She actually learns everyone's name. She provides everything you need to know for the tests in the fill-in-the-blank notes so if you miss a class make sure to get them from someone else. Overall great teacher!!!
