Prof. Harris has a dry wit. He jokes but younger students don't get him. He teaches to for you to learn not babysit sit you. He will go over all the material and asks for questions. If he assigns something you better turn in your work on time. Would take again.

Dry wit.. Looks mean but is actually very nice. Goes over ALL the material. If you take PL10 make sure it is not those Hybrid class. you will be overwhelmed with reading and tests. Assignments are learning assignments not B/S..

I would not recommend this professor to anyone. The worst class I have ever taken!!!! The class was a disaster, the professor was unable to manage a online format. Test and quiz questions are misspelled and often are not properly formatted sentences. He will not respond to emails for clarification. Worst of all we gave us the wrong final!!!!!!

He is rude but in a funny way. He actually cares for your success but doesn't hold your hand along the way. If you read the book you'll do fine on the exams. It's pretty much a teach yourself kind of class. He just brings personal experience to the table and rarely do his lectures help to prepare you for the exams. Just take notes when you read.

By far, he is the WORST teacher at WLAC. Unfortunately, he's the only Bus Law teacher. He is so passive, careless and so contradicting. He tells u something, but does another. We just had a mid-term that only 3-4 student got above 80 outta 48 student; the rest below. He changed the test 4 times. AVOID him, or take him Online. P.S. RUN FOR UR LIFE!

I wouldn't recommend this teacher to any one! He is not a bad guy, but he is VERY disorganized, lots of spelling errors on tests and doesn't timely respond to emails. He is kinda mean. Overall i got an A and happy that I never have to take him again..BE-CAREFUL!

Comment:

Harris can be funny and knowledgeable at times, but he is very disorganized. A lot of students haven't received their grade from him yet. He also gives out tests that aren't always solely based on the textbook or his lectures. The highest grade anyone got on the first and second test was a middle ranged B. Hard class; I wouldn't take him again.

Took online class. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. He is very disorganized. Never available on line to give any instruction. His syllabus has all the dates of assignments and tests mixed up. It's been more than one week since we took the final. Tomorrow is x'mas but I have not seen the final grade. X'mas is tomorrow!

I find the Prof extremely knowlegeable. If you read and study you will be alright. He is actually teaching! I think he is an excellent instructor. Some people don't understand his dry wit. He makes class interesting.

Professor Harris was the worst teacher I have had. I took a business law class out of interest as I already hold a degree, and he was the most unresponsive, passive, negligent, and I would go so far to say lazy teacher I have ever had. Stay AWAY!

Mr. Harris is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He may not be the most organized prof - and gets his lectures confused from one class to the other (which I can totally understand). He is courteous and professional. He is a teaser and I get the feeling he does this to liven up the class. He wants you to BE SURE of what your answer is. LOVE HIM!

Spelling and typos are sloppy as other posters have also indicated. Again, as others have indicated he is not easily reached for questions or concerns. But, the class is easy. The Business Department is generally pathetic at WLAC and the Dept Head sets the tone for incompetence and Nicholas is the Queen of Incompetence--Trick-Down Academics

I took him during the summer of 08 for Business Law 1. Gave the final as his first exam by mistake,then gave the exact same exam as the final in the same class. Does not answer email, voicemail or any other correspondance. If you take him expect to be totally alone in learning business law. god help you.
