Overall very diligent, caring, and an easy grader with many extra credit opportunities. Calls people out for asking her questions that could've been answered by reading the notes, which are useless. Obnoxiously corrects students in class and if you ask her a question in class that she thinks is stupid, she will make an example out of you.

Solid choice for Greek. Spent the semester reading Plato's Symposium. Sometimes the translations would take about 2 hours to complete for a few classes, but not most of the time. I thought she was clearer than the other professors at explaining grammar. She gave lots of extra credit -- test corrections, practice IDs. Such a sweet professor!

Dr. Pratt is very knowledgeable about Latin and brought a lot of fun into the class. The entire course was various readings from Apuleius, I could do the readings within an hour, more often closer to 30 minutes and be ready for class. We read a chapter in English outside of class every week, which isn't much at all. Very sweet person too who cares.

Great professor. Really cares about her students and their success in the course. Ancient Greek was not a subject that I liked, but she made the class enjoyable. Do the work and you'll have no problem getting an A.

She's a great teacher and she genuinely wants every student to do their best. An A is definitely manageable if time is taken to read over the grammar and prepare the translations for each class.

I took her in Fall 2010. She is a wonderful teacher who really cares about her teachings. She's also humble and likes to make (bad) jokes. Her workload is kind of large and this is not a "guaranteed A" type of class, so if your only goal is to get the Seminar requirement out of the way, take something else. Otherwise, this class will be amazing.

Professor Pratt is absolutely wonderful!! She is one of the sweetest women I have ever met. She has a fantastic sense of humor and humility, and she is extremely enthusiastic about what she is teaching. She is extremely available to help students. I took her freshman seminar "The Trojan War and Travels of Odysseus," and I absolutely loved it.

In addition to being very funny and personable with her students, she knows what she's talking about and how to teach it, has a level sense of fairness and realistic expectations. Also, she is one of the few professors I know who can admit she doesn't know something and then find it out without having an identity crisis.
