I took her online class which is called the Evolution of Video Games. She is a tough grader. It is required to do projects such as recording a game video and posting it on Youtube. Discussions can be accessed through the textbook link. However, the grading criteria was really strict.

Assignments were open book and way too easy. I felt like I learned nothing from this class.

Comment:
I took this class expecting a GPA booster. The lectures are extremely boring and the professor requires you to buy 2 books for this class. I made the mistake of actually purchasing these books. For the 2 exams (extremely easy) I never even opened up any of the books out of sole disinterest and got a 96 in the class. Didn't try at all for this class

Comment:
Easy class, but the lectures are boring and the test questions were too specific, focusing in on topics from the lectures that don't reflect the big picture. Projects and discussions were a lot of fun and interesting, though. Just wish the lectures were, too.

It's a little hard to judge her on teaching methods alone, as the class is pointless filler no matter the professor. That being said, one plus is that she is super accessible and helpful if you contact her. Most of the work is easy busy work, just check book(s) for terms on open book untimed exams. One huge negative: required textbook on memes. $15

This was the worst class I have taken at UCF, it is completely pointless and the professor does not make it any better. She is not very clear even when you ask her questions. Definitely would never suggest to take her but was an easy A class just a waste of time.

2nd week in and it feels like i'm in high school. Group project w/ presentation, assigned seating with groups, boring class, lots of reading assigned, tests are written. We were supposed to have Croft but they changed at the last minute. Probably not going to keep this class

Knows her stuff, but the class was incredibly and overbearingly boring. This class has too much overlap with Game Design Workshop and Production 1...I had already experienced or learned everything that was taught in this class prior to coming in. No new experiences. Felt like filler to be honest.

Like most online classes, you cannot survive without the textbook. Cumulative tests that cover anywhere between 10 and 30 chapters of info. The lecture notes she posts are helpful, and she responds to emails pretty fast. She listens to what we have to say, after reading a class survey she extended the amount of time we have to take tests.

Very light work, once/twice a month discussions, no responses required except for last assignment. Quizzes and tests are tough, complicated questions, only 1-minute per question. E-textbook/Kindle helps ALOT to search test questions, also saving lectures notes to Word for searching. Fun class but not a breeze.

It is apparent that Natalie has been teaching this course for a good amount of time because she definitely knows what she's doing. Everything was organized very well and I never had to ask about due dates or requirements because they are clearly stated in the syllabus. 4 tests and a 1-page paper. Get the books or you won't pass the tests.

That last guy doesn't know what he's talking about. This prof was great! She was always sending messages to make sure everyone was on track, and the course material, which she wrote, is informative and really interesting! She certainly knows what she's talking about. Tests aren't too hard. I would happily take her again!

I love to learn, but hardly got a single thing from this class. The tests are irrelevant, open-book jokes and don't require studying or comprehension. The group project is useless - fifteen people for a 2000 word paper. It's like the student is encouraged to cut corners. I'm ashamed of how pathetically easy this course was.

This class was really easy. One midterm, one final, one group project, and 2 discussion replies. Try and work well with your group, do your part, and try to get it done as early as possible. Keep up with the readings for the midtermfinal.

I loved Latin American Popular Culture with Dr Underberg. The material was fascinating and the class was engaging. The project portion was especially interesting because I got to branch out and study what I wanted to study. FYI class is a folklore class which is not what I would call "Popular Culture" but otherwise fantastic course!

Please please read this first DM students! This is a required course for now and as far as I know Underberg is the only one who teaches it. TAKE IT ONLINE!! Incredibly easy A! You get credit for half the assignments without hardly putting any effort. Taking this class in person I heard was terrible but online it's super easy!!!

This woman is nothing short of the worst educator I have ever experienced. Her methods seem to consist of wave after wave of unorganized ramblings and wild tangents. She will test you on material you have never seen and is comfortable with how horrible most of the class will perform on said tests. This woman shouldn't be allowed to teach, ever.

Worst teacher I've ever had in my life, and that's saying a lot. She'll give assignments and not explain what they are, even if copious amounts of students ask in class. Her test questions seem to be completely random. Someone, anyone, please, make her go away.

I'm amazed she's still employed, teaching is not her gift, not by a long shot. The course is a joke and for some reason her travels in Peru comes up as an example a lot. Quite honestly I'm sick of her incompetence. Take this class with another professor if you can.
