Dr. Habib is one of the most respected faculty members on campus. Great guy and is passionate about his topic. He writes books on Islamic Literature so he is credible and knows what he is talking about. However, opens up discussions to students to lend their own personal insight. Get ready to write a ton in this class but is fair grader.

Mr Habib is one of my favorite professors that I've had at Rutgers. He assigns an absurd amount of papers, but they help you immensely by the time you make it to the final. Everything in his class has reason, it's amazingly put together. He doesn't just assign busy work to get rid of kids, and if you do the work he assigns you'll get at least a B

In Professor Habib's class, participation is key. Read the assigned readings, complete the journals, come prepared, engage in class discussion, and you'll do well. He encourages students to form their own interpretation of the readings, as long as they can be supported. He is easy to talk to and funny. If you have the chance, take his class!

Dr. Habib is an excellent professor. His classes are highly energetic and enlightening. He taught my Western Lit. II and Mod. Lit. classes. Class requirements: attendance, books, a daily journal (2 pages), and class participation (at least twice). Since people have unique intersectional backgrounds, your personal analyses of readings are paramount.

Mr. Habib has a certain sense of humor that took a while for most of the class to pick up on, but we eventually found it to be a key part of the class. He is a fun and insightful teacher if you give him the attention he deserves. He is stern but laid back, he makes sure the job gets done and then has time for fun. He has his priorities straight.

Funny, knowledgeable...took him for winterim and he was awesome. You have to write 2-page journals (essays) on every work. Loves it if you participate. Don't sit there quiet or your grade will suffer.

Seriously one of the best profs I've ever had. Took dry material and made it interesting. He asks for a lot of hard work, but if you do the work and participate, you'll do just fine. He's funny, engaging, and encourages you to voice your opinion on whatever is being talked about in class. Participation is essential to your grade.

Great professor. Very knowledgable on the content and promotes class discussion. At one point I struggled with the content and he readily helped me. There is a good amount of writing and reading, but it is an English course. As long as you do the readings and journal entries he requires you'll have all the tools to pass his course.

Professor Habib was absolutely one of the best teachers I have ever had. Going into the class I was not exactly interested but he made the class fun and interesting and something that I looked forward to all day. Dr. Habib is wonderful! It's a lot of work but as long as you keep up with it, it's very simple. He keeps all of the students entertained. Sometimes he goes off topic, but it's always a good time! Can't imagine how anybody could not like this guy! :)
