One of the best Professor u will meet in De Anza. She is a great teacher that allows you to write with your creativity and passion. Not only so, she is also a good friend that will give you advice in life when you face an obstacle. Take her! she is awesome!

Horrible, Horrible Horrible Teacher Ever! She doesn't know how to teach English at all! Plus she will give you a very low grade if she knew you were ESL student. A very unclear and disorganized class with a boring book to read (her "dream" book). If you'd like to write 3 essays in your final week, do take her!

She's an alright professor. Very upbeat, kind, her grading isn't particularly difficult and she'll let you re-do essays for a better grade. She can be a bit disorganized and scatterbrained, but it's manageable. Just talk to her a lot and make sure she recognizes you, she'll go easier on the grading if she does.

Class was: coming in on time (or she will put you on blast),passes out snacks,takes roll for 30 minutes,talks about random readings,discussion for an hour,leave.Turn in all your essays.She doesnt believe in lower than a C on your essays-have unlimited tries to revise to an A.Not much homework, just show up & if she knows youur name,youll get an A

Easy teacher, changes her schedule as the school goes on. She practically guesses on your grade, but its easy as long as you show up and turn in your essays. Rarely any homework nor any big reading. Talks nonsense and doesnt let you out early but overall, really easy.

I took her class because of the easy reviews but she is just so uncoordinated. She spends the first 35 minutes of class taking rolls but students are not allowed to be late. She also often forgets to grade student's work and later asked them to resend their work to her email. Generally very hard to work with. Worst english teacher for me. :((

Essays are easy as long as you are not ESL. Unorganized, unclear, and off topic. She is very opinionated, and will rip your work to pieces infront of the class. I saw a students paper get ridiculed on the overhead for about an hour before moving on to the next victim. Yes I got a good grade but learned nothing new. You have to buy her book/ useless

best teacher ever! very fun and stylish. Extremely helpful and a wonderful person. Take this class and talk to her she is ver interesting and can help you be more confident and excited about writing.If I could take the class again I would just to hang out with her.She is also doing a yoga and writing workshop. She is not as easy as everybody says. She teaches at Stanford and has changed her teaching style ALOT. She became a much hard teacher. I am a international student and she made it very hard for us. She is really rude too, if she doesnt understand you, she will give you bad grade. Avoid her, dont waste your money, it is not easy,5 essay lots of book

EWRT1b is easy if you are not an ESL student. Marjorie has you read lots of stories from her own textbook, all of them 10 pages or less, and then you write 3 750-word essays, 1 1,000 word essay and one research paper. You get multiple tries for all of them. If you can write, you can get an A. Don't be late because she will notice and say something.

Avoid her at all costs. She is constantly off topic. She is often not at all clear on what she is looking for in her essays or assignments and when you don't give her what she's looking for (but what she has not made clear), you get a low grade. She seems to make up the curiculuum/schedule up as you go along. All in all, take someone else.
