There is A LOT of homework and handouts. It's easy but VERY time consuming. Do the workbook as you learn them. She doesn't actually grade it, its just graded on completion and so is the supersite, so if you write something, you get the points. The only one she actually grades is Recapitulación.

Truly a wonderful teacher. She encourages office visits and connects students with outside resources. A caring lady with a passion for teaching. Whatever student said she is not a native speaker of Spanish was wrong. She grew up with Spanish speaking parents and grandparents and is quite fluent. Do all your assignments for an A. Take her class!

Seriously a wonderful Spanish Professor. Really funny, really entertaining, and engaging. By the end of the class, I was friendly acquaintances with almost everyone. I took 2 years of Spanish of High School, so the class was easy, but may be harder for those with no prior knowledge. I wholeheartedly recommend this professor.

Super energetic and knows what she is talking about. As with any language class she conducts the class in Spanish. There is plenty of busy work online and book. Be sure to buy a brand new book you will be ripping pages out. Doesn't accept late work so do your homework regularly and turn it in on time. Fun class!

She tries to keep things fun. Keep an open mind, don't take yourself too seriously, show up to all classes on time and do all assigned work. Do all that, and you're sure to get an 'A'. No foreign language is easy, but hang in there, do the work and you'll be fine!

The sad thing is, I know she truly means well. But there is someting to be said for a native spanish speaker teacher and she is not a native speaker. A lot of the in-class activities seemed completely pointless, and she assigns WAY too much homework. Plus, she has a weird way of sort of embarassing people.

Attendance is a must and so is text book. SHE DOES NOT LIKE LATE WORKERS/COMERS. She energetic, a lot of in class activities, and tests for each chapter, midterm, and a final with oral. You have to study in order to keep your A. It's not a super easy A, but if you try and attend her classes, you should be fine.

Thought the class was fun. If you will definately be writing in the book and tearing out the pages. Liked that she introduced us to music and movies in spanish. Didn't like how little time we had for tests and quizzes.

Overall a pretty good prof. She would, however, wait until the end of class to give a test, often leaving 15-20 minutes. It's crucial that you attend class and do the assignments in order to be successful.

Senora Cashen had an interesting wa of teaching. I managed just fine and she was certainly interesting and a very good person, but it was hard to understand what we were going to be tested on. We didn't have enough clarity to study well. But she was very entertaining and fun.

I dont get why every spanish professor has to treat you like you're retarded and/or 12 years old. Why do I have to wear a 'crown' in class? Why do I have to cut out valentines cards?

VERY helpful. Does not speak Spanish ALL the time, which can be annoying for beginnign students. Gives clear explanations of everything and makes things easy to remember.
