Welch is a great guy. The class was light, discussion based, and involved a lot of writing. We learned some key concepts surrounding leadership. Overall, I wish the class was a bit more structured.

The problem with Welch is that he is very unclear about his expectations. He comes off to be this well spoken teacher who doesn't give you any clear direction of what he expects. However, he grades in a very critical fashion looking for something that he never described to you in (or out) of class. Avoid if possible! He is a wolf in sheep clothing!

Very disappointed in the capstone class. Learned next to nothing, just a lot of readings, busywork assignments on old case studies, and no clear expectations given by Welch. Recommend taking Kim's section, he was a far better professor.

Capstone course will be tough no matter what. I liked Welsh's teaching style and appreciated the topics he covered during class, which do apply in the real world. Yet the workload in this class is way more than just the huge business plan you have to write. There are weekly readings and assignments on top of this!! Too much work!!

V v boring, but super duper nice and helpful, will invest a lot in making sure you do well if you show effort. Essay exams (gives questions beforehand), & business game project (40% of grade). Project consumes you; be sure to get a smart group. Thought he graded essays and project reports kind of harshly, but otherwise good class.

This professor is the best in the university. His lectures were always interesting and you can find out so much information about the real world from his experiences. Glo-bus was a great game, and his exams are very stress-free, since he gives out the questions that are going to be covered. A++

One of the BEST profs at Loyola. Extremely helpful, brings in lots of personal experience. Glo-bus is FUN, it is an awesome pre-hand experience to the actual world. Loved this class!bte..donot bye the text, u will hardly ever use it.

such a nice prof! tests are stress free b/c he gives the questions out before. lectures are just powerpoint and sometimes case discussion. glo-bus is tedious, but he grades mostly on effort and not how well ur company does. pretty easy class!

Very help and nice. His two tests are in essay format, but thier are no surprises. He gives you questions in advance and he is always willing to help. You get one presentation and a group project. He likes participation and looks for those interested in his class. Good overall!!

EZ compared to his bus law class. He just powerpoints all class and class has to participate in glo-bus game. Very nice but takes attendance (sheet). Tests are he gives a case and you answer the q's. Don't need to read any chptrs just look at powerpts online.

Really love this class. He is a very conceptual teacher rather than just throwing material at you and expecting you to just learn it. "The Game" you play in class is kind of a pain, but once you get the hang of it, it's kind of fun. You have to play the game in all MGMT 304 classes by the way.
