The other comments sound like Holder wrote them. Holder was not a great teacher, and in fact a little creepy. Class means get ready to listen to ranting. At least there are assignments and quizzes, and the tests cover the material. Learn from the book is a must.

Dr. Holder is an awesome professor. She gives the most partial credit for problems you will ever see resulting in a much higher grade than you usually deserve. You will definitely get spoiled if you take this class.

Dr. Holder is awesome! Granted the class is tough and she is new to the material but she is still great. She sticks really close to the book and since she doesnt know the material well yet she is very willing to HELP you work through it TOGETHER just GO TO HER OFFICE!!! Other ppl drop her because they dont give her a chance!

She has never taught this class before. She only does examples out of the book and half the time she doesn't know how to do the problem without looking at the solutions manual. By the time she figures it out, everybody is confused.

Most people are afraid of her because she grades hard. That is her only flaw. She is an outstanding lecturer and you learn more in one class with her than most professors teach in a month. If you aren't an EE student and you need to take circuits 1, you might want to take it from someone else. If you are a EE, take her becaue you will learn TONS!!!

Most students that are not EE find Dr. Holder impossible to get along with. Half the class was failing by midterm mainly because she was very unprepared for class. If you are not an EE, stay away and take another professor for circuits.

Great Teacher, but very difficult. It is impossible to BS your way through one of her classes. Quizes every week, but always over the "SUGGESTED" homework. There are many bad rumors but most are not true. Is VERY willing to help outside of class...even on Sunday. Always responds to e-mail. Take Her!

Dr. holder is good teacher for classes like circuits and electronics. BUT NOT FOR PROGRAMMING.I haven't learned anything yet from that class.Its more like a boot camp..this class is not organized..half of the things instructor doesn't know.

What a pathetic professor. Talks about being a programmer for 43 years and can't successfully dissect a program or even get one to work. Even a hello world program. OMG Stay away - heed my words. This professor can not teach nor wants to.
