Comment:

We had homework online, but my account was messed up and wouldnt actually save my work. Though Id email him pictures of my finished work, he still didnt give credit. He would write down problems and the answer, but never explain how he got it. He always got angry when we asked questions. The tests were completely different than what he taught.

The professor's lectures are so plain. He gives the problem then the answer without showing all the steps. He gives totally different problems on his exams then he teaches on. He gives out homework and only grades like 5 problems out of 50 but if you aren't able to complete all he counts off even for the ones he didn't grade.

Zaman is a good teacher if you already have a pretty good understanding of math. If you have always been bad at math, don't take him. You'll just be frustrated.

Naveed is a good teacher! I don't understand why people think he is hard. I have an A in the class and it's already half way through the semester. If you ask questions he will help you! DO the homework! All the quiz questions are from the homework. He does exam reviews too.

Comment:

Dr. Zaman is an extremely hard professor, but not so much that you have no chance of passing his class. He can be hard to understand, and he does move extremely fast. I do not suggest him if you are taking a full load, if you want to pass, plan on spending A LOT of time to study and prepare yourself.

He is somewhat hard to understand because he has an accent. He goes fast but this is college. He gives quizes a lot but they are straight from the optional homework. Some quizes are take home. He only takes up homework on test days and its a specific assignment not everything. He always gives time for questions!

Dr. Z is NOT a bad teacher. He does expect you to keep up, but if you are having problems, he will help you if you make the time to go see him. Algebra is not a fun subject, but he is far from a bad teacher. With the attitudes of some of the people in my class, I wouldn't have given two hoots if they passed either!

He is a terrible professor and a heartless man. He will not care if you fail the class. Goes way to fast, 2-3 sections a class. Does not allow chances to ask questions.Gives useless reviews for tests. Avoid him and take someone else! DO NOT waste you time and tuition!!

This guy is a terrible professor. He gives tests every two weeks. He goes fast like a summer course. He will not care if you are failing and will not even try to help you. Gives 2-3 quizes a week and does not give enough time to prepare. Do not take him if you want a chance to pass this class. Teaches in the summer also as TBA. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

He is one of the worst professors I have taken at WVSU. His tests are extremely hard. It took me two hours to complete one test and I only recieved a high D but he says that is passing! Take someone else!!

Horrible teacher! His quizes are from the homework but his tests are extremely hard!! Cannot teach at a students level. He should be teaching graduate school not undergrad. Take someone else!!

Heartless man, avoid at all costs! 10 people dropped my summer course out of 16...that should be enough said. He moves at too fast. Sarcasitc and a total jerk! Big waste of time and money. Have fun D/F repeating!

seems nice enough- but hard to understand. might as well teach yourself from the text. he explained elementary equations but his tests were made up of the hardest problems.

He is a very knowlegable man and can be intimidating at first, but after you get used to him, he's not bad. Very good at explaining things. If you have questions ask him or go to the Wallace 117 for help (math tutoring). Extremely thick accent, that was the hardest part for me in his class. He will repeat without getting upset.

A very intelligent teacher, but has not mastered the ability to relate that intelligence unto the students. He is sometimes hard to understand, especially when he faces the chalkboard. Dr. Zaman tries to help students, but is bound to the time-line of the syllabus which creates a rushed sensation at times.

Comment:

Zaman is really nice and he goes through material at the perfect pace. He is very understanding and will sometimes postpone turning in homework/assignments if you're having trouble. He gives good study guides for tests and is fair in grading.He speaks really good English for coming from Pakistan.
