Honestly the sweetest woman you'll ever meet. Even if you loathe the language entirely, you'll want to go to her class because her personality is so uplifting. Homework heavy. BUY THE BOOKS NEW - YOU NEED THE ONLINE CODE! If you have to take Spanish and can take her classes, DO IT! She'll be a great friend by the end of the semester.

She isn't very clear about what exactly needs to be done. Expect her to talk in Spanish 90% of the time, especially near the end of the semester. If you don't understand what she's saying, ASK HER. She'll assign a ton of online homework. The online version of the book is necessary, but the physical copy isn't always necessary (they're the same.)

Urrutia is a tough teacher. I really enjoyed taking her class because I did learn a lot and my Spanish skills improved a lot but it was tough and a lot more work then I expected. She struggles using online resources and a fair bit of class material is learned on your own outside of class. Would recommend for a serious student.

Probably one of the nicest teachers I have ever had. She is super funny and always makes class enjoyable. However, she expects you to know a lot coming into 102. That doesn't mean that she doesn't teach you a lot, but she feels as though everything you are going over in 102 is review. If you study, and show up to class, you'll have no troubles.

Sra. Urrutia is such a charismatic teacher who wants her students to succeed. She does speak Spanish and expects her students to as well each class, but practice because the tests are easy and she is hilarious and such a nice lady. Also if you go to her office hours she is more than happy to help.

She is a good teacher. Her class was fun at times but it all depends on the students. She was a little disorganized and forgot about homework assignments. Used the book a lot. Also assigned many super site and Tell Me More things to do. I recommend taking her though, I learned a lot. A lot of homework.

Senora was a good teacher. I have been really interested in Spanish for a long time and thought that it was a good class. I did not put that much work into the class, but I heard many people complain about how hard it was.

She is a sweet lady who means well but I did not really enjoy her class. She didnt really teach- she would put on the grammar lessons from the online textbook rather than explain concepts. Her tests and essays were tough- I would take a different Spanish teacher if you have the option.

She is an adorable little lady and means well. Class isn't very hard if you can grasp things on your own, but if you depend on your teachers maybe try someone else. She has a hard time understanding and answering our questions sometimes, but she does try her best.

Spanish is my minor and I would take her for 201. I am currently in 202 and it's getting hard so it's a toss up. You have to go to class and participation is what will help your grade. She grades the compostions easy, and tests are fair if you study. She is very helpful though. If you put in a good effort you will get a B/B+.

Senora Urrutia was extremely kind and always very helpful. Her first language is spanish so you constantly get to hear spanish from an actual spanish speaker! She is laid back and fun, but definitely expects everyone to participate in class. It's fun. It was a lot better than my last spanish class with Professor Husman!

Overall a likeable teacher as long as you don't get on her bad side. The class was very easy and she is a lenient grader. Though lessons were sometimes boring and she plays favorites, I would recommend the class as both easy yet educational at the same time.

pretty decent teacher, shes pretty easygoing and nice. just don't get on her badside. if she likes you and if you go to class you'll probably be fine.
