I currently have him for HIS 107. While he is a nice guy at heart, he shouldn't be a professor. His lectures are difficult to listen to, and he is very confusing. He has decided to take attendance at the beginning and end of class. He likes to treat students like high school students. Stay away from this professor.

He is very intelligent, but does teach the information well. He is very monotone and him speaking at length is the norm. Where class participation is a rarity. If you don't know script then you wont understand anything he writes. It is obvious he holds and teaches his bias opinions and even grades based upon them. - Modern World History

DO NOT TAKE HIM. He is actually so hard to listen to. All tests are online but don't go by when the syllabus says the tests are going to be because it is wrong. The papers are really easy to get an A if you read the books. Don't bother going to class; you learn nothing. Just do the tests and reports and you'll be fine.

His class was ok however he was like Buzz Killington so boring and at the same time not even funny. He was a super nice guy however.

He is one of the worst professors I have ever had the displeasure of having in my life. I am someone who typically really enjoys history, but this class was an absolute chore to get through. All the tests are online and you have to write 2 book reports. He is incredibly boring and makes you want to fall asleep every class. DONT TAKE HIM!!!

he's a really sweet man. tests online &encourages you look up answers. 2 book summaries. However, the classes are dull. He takes 10 minutes to take attendance through excel; calculating attendance points +/- from your grade. He breezes through heavy topics with the gist of an overheard conversation. if you care, take with a different professor.

West gives long lectures and tons of information. You need to write down word for word everything that he says, and when it comes time for the test you can find every answer in your notes. He is willing to answer any question you have. Yes it is a boring class, but if you put in the effort you can pass, I got a B+.

i feel so bad writing this because he seems like a nice man but this class is so impossible to not fall asleep in. He is monotone and rambles on past when the class ends. It is so boring I barely keep my eyes open the whole time. DO NOT TAAKE HIM. save yourself.

The guy cares about one person in the class and it's himself. the test answers are not fact but his own opinion. Also, he is the biggest liberal and will actually force his views on you. I love history and i struggled o pay attention. Don't do this to yourself.

Im an honor student&failed both of his test but got an A- on the book report. I read the text&researched online for answers on test and have no idea where he came up with his. Lectures have nothing to do with the text or test. printed out his review test questions only eight of 30 were on it. I sat front and center still struggled to hear him.

Worst class I have ever taken. Professor West is the most confusing, monotone, and boring professor I have ever had and he never really teaches. He has a lot of thoughts which is what all of tests/quizzes are based off of .HIS THOUGHTS. My recommendation STAY AWAY

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. He's boring as al hell. He said I could get the online book but yelled at me multiple times for using my tablet. He makes awful jokes that only he laughs at. He's monotone and quiet the entire class. He's completely unclear. 0/10 Would not recommend.
