Dr. T spoke for the straight 3 hours of class each week. He gives 1 big assignments, and if there is a snow day, he will sometimes drop the work - he dropped the final, and dropped another assignment. If you speak to him that something is hard, he will gladly push off due date. He wants his students to learn/apply to own life/share their changes!

I'll start by saying I failed.. I was a straight A student in high school and all throughout college so far. Safe to say he failed me along with atleast 5/10 others in class with me. I had to retake another speech class in the fall semester and I passed with an A. His class is just to much work for a 101 class. Laughs at every other sentence.

Good teacher, some can't stand him-for some reason, and I have noticed they're usually the people who're stressed out and end up taking it all out on the prof. I believe he's good at what he does, he's pretty clear when he gives instructions, and people just seem to want to somehow turn them into something "tricky". Anyway, 9/10 would rec.

Conceited, spends hours talking about how SPCM101 has unlocked the answers to mastery of others but seems to lack knowledge of self. As a philosophy major, he was aggressively disrespectful to me while pushing a $60 stack of office culture protocol sat in before me. You cannot disagree without suffering. Made me want to drop out of CCBC. Dreadful.

This was one the most boring classes I have ever taken. I fell asleep almost every lecture. The class itself is not very hard, he just lectures the entire time. I can say that what he is saying is valuable information it just didn't keep my attention for long.

This professor does talk about himself All in all I did leave learning good things Thompson is more of a philosopher and preacher than a communication professor But if you enjoy different theories on how to live life and have patience then this class is for you otherwise would not recommend this teacher.

A charlatan in the most egregious sense it can be meant. The class content ($60 stack of loose paper) is an impoverished study of running business meetings, but the conceited Thompson seems convinced this has overthrown Habermas. Students are not encouraged or textually engaged to converse with the teacher, but listen to his bad self-help tirades.

I had Dr. Thompson a few semesters ago and I thought he was a great Professor and wonderful man. I received an A in his course and guess what... I am white. Sadly, I think the person below is unfairly using the race card to judge this man. Perhaps it was your poor work that gave you a low grade? Simple concept right?

He is an incredible instructor. I used to be terrified of public speaking, but with his help I have developed into a more sociable person and actually enjoy speaking in front of others. I can't thank him enough. Take this professor if you can!!

This man is a help to all of those who enter his classroom. His method of teaching reaches far beyond the subject at hand. I enjoyed taking speech with this professor. He is a pretty outgoing and fun guy. The course is not hard, as long as you do what your told. It kind of starts off slow but towards mid-semester the speeches start to roll. Take this course its not boring.
