Really good Professor. He has more then the average assigned work but he gives you a lot of time to get them done. He is one of the handful of professors that want to see all the students succeed.

Professor Cunningham really wants his students to succeed, he is always helpful. His test study guides were pretty useless to me because they were so long and vague. Attendance is counted in your grade. Overall he is a great professor and I would take any class he teaches.

Comment:

Professor Cunningham is an excellent instructor to introduce the subject to the uninitiated. Even though I have no interested in becoming a social worker, I found a desire to take further classes with this Professor just to learn more about what he had to teach. He has a true passion for his field and it shows. Thank you, Professor.

Good Teacher. BORING class! Easy assignments, but the midterm and final are what really gets you. Don't bother using the study guide because it wont help much. Requires you to know too much for tests when not of all of the material is on the test. He gives a grade curve so you can easily get and A or B without much effort. Good Luck!

Awesome teacher! Although his lectures were based all on slides, he is very intellegent and informative. Follow the syllabus and you will get an A. Tests are tricky unless you study and read the text. Definitely recommend this professor.

I took Patrick's 106/206 SWK classes-he's a great teacher, very clear. Follow the syllabus and you'll do great. Assignments were easy and he responds quickly and always with positive feedback whether you did badly or not. Highly suggested teacher.

He's incredibly intelligent and very helpful. High work load but manageable, as the papers don't have to be long and tend to get 100% so long as all guidelines are followed. Tests were on the tough side, but not bad if you study the study-guide and read the texts (you don't really have to read the Jungle, just read the sparknotes). Good luck!

He was such a nice guy! he really worked with the students, but the text book he used was HORRIBLE and hard to follow. it was not user friendly at all. the test really relied on the text book and his lectures. this class seemed more like a 300 level than a 100.

I had Patrick for several classes and really enjoyed them. He follows his syllabus exactly and if you do the work you can earn a good grade. The downside of his classes is that he has a strict attendance policy and talks every minute of class. He seems to be a great guy.

Somewhat interesting class although all of the classes are lecture based, so there is no time for interaction. The upside though is that the Professor posts outlines of all of the lectures on Blackboard, so you don't have to worry about misplacing anything. The class consisted of a midterm, a final, a major paper and weekly 1 page papers.

Great professor. He knows his stuff. Has a lot of information to share, if you are willing to learn, plus he is witty and creates a good forum for discussions between prof/student. I have taken many of his classes, and gained much insight from every one. He'll make a great social worker out of you!
