The class is easy but boring. He has some interesting stories that he tells from time to time. Four assignments total plus the final. Two of them are group presentations. Not a fan of the grading system since it depended on your group and classmates.

Boring teacher. Terrible lecturer. We did group project for the whole semester (3 total assignments with group) everyone in group gets same grades all the other students grade you. Not even sure what he did all semester besides tell us the same stories over & over. He requires attendance which is ridiculous. Never opened the book. Worst class

The most interesting class I have taken out of my 3 years in college! Not only does he focus on geography of China but he lectures on ethnicity, culture, environ. There is a map quiz, one midterm and one final. Multi choice and short essays. There is also a group project. No textbook. He cracks lots of jokes thru lecture too. so its never boring.

Professor Guo is extremely entertaining. He takes random attendance, so just come to class everyday. Class mostly consisted of student presentations. He is extremely knowledgeable. The exams are really easy. 2 exams, 1 paper (field research), 1 presentation.

He was a nice guy and he meant well, but he wasn't a very good lecturer. His notes he gave us and lectured to us at times didn't correlate with what was in the textbook. There are 4 exercises and 2 tests (1 midterm, 1 final). DO NOT use laptops or walk out during class. He goes nuts. And he subtracts 2 points for each unexcused absence.

Boring professor. (No electronics at all.) He tries hard to educate, but then his lectures are very hard to follow. His slide shows are messy and out of order. Attend class. He rather have you sleep then not be there, and DO NOT WALK OUT DURING MIDDLE OF LECTURE, he'll go crazy!

Terrible class. He started off the semester by straight out telling us to drop him because he was so bad. But he is really bad, I thought he was joking. Some of the lecture material is interesting, but he sucks the life out of it. He does have great stories about movies and hockey and tends to go on tangents, but I hated going to his class.

It's an easy class, although he can be hard to understand at times. He's a good guy, maybe not the best professor. Class is easy. Does random attendance. Two test, midterm and final. Easy if you pay attention in class and take notes. All matching. 4 easy assignments. Take this class just to get rid of GE's.

Entertaining lectures, but has many personal stories that sometimes make lectures hard to follow. Don't need textbook. 2 months of lecture and then 80% of the test is on something covered for 20 minutes a month ago. :/ much easier classes for section 3 out there. but he is a good teacher if you are interested in this field.

The class might not be the most interesting in the world but Guo is a nice professor and really wants everyone to understand. The class is not stressful at all, 2 tests and 4 homework assignments. He tells stories and is a funny guy. I would definitely recommend him.

if you actually go to class and listen the class will be pretty easy. only 4 (easy) assignments and 1 midterm and 1 final. study for both and you'll be golden. he's a really funny professor but the lectures are kinda boring but just listen!

If you take this class it is important that you attend every class. He'll deduct 2 points off your final grade for every absence. But overall good prof. interesting class, and he's very funny. Tests are not difficult if you study and pay attention in class (hint: focus on models). 3 exams/ 1 research paper what the class consists of. Enjoy :)

Two exams, a research paper and a presentation/essay (you choose). Very straight forward, honest, and fair grading. No trick questions and very clear about what to expect. Qian Guo is a good teacher overall. He's a bit of a wise a**, but he also cares alot about his students.

Not too difficult, though extensive reading material. Chapter notes posted on iLearn, which helps a lot. 2 papers, final and midterm. Takes random attendance, which can make or break your grade. Very easy and fair grader. By calculation, I probably deserved a B-, but he gave me an A-!

Take Him! Assignments and tests are easy, as long as you pay attention to his lecture. But if you want an A, you have to attend EVERY SINGLE CLASS! He takes attendance randomly, and you will be deducted 2 points for each absence!

I just get my summer grades back :) It's good. Professor Guo is not a tough grader. As long as you come to class, pay attention and take decent notes, you'll pass. 4 paper (2-3 page), 2 exams (he cancel one). Interesting approach to the lecture. Funny and sarcastic sometimes but he's okay. Knowledgeable especially about Asian region
