Comment:

Difficult for a 200 level course. Be prepared for weekly quizzes (definitely wouldnt recommend skipping these, worth 20% cumulatively). Ramjee is a sweet man and very understanding of due dates, but was a tough marker on final papers. His lectures can also be a little difficult to follow. Gets a 4/5 because hes lovely and loved the UN sim project

I can't express how much I love Ramjee as a professor as well as his lectures. I learnt more in this class than I have in any other course. He has a serious talent for lecturing, substantive knowledge on international relations and the content is very interesting. He is an extremely kind and accommodating professor, everyone should take this course

I took international organizations with him- an excellent lecturer and very interesting content. His exams are completely fair and his readings are manageable. He's very approachable and helpful.

SUCH a good guy. Genuinely concerned for the well-being of his students, and that comes off right away. Tries his best to memorize peoples names, despite the fact that the class is huge. Very accomodating, pushed back essay due date.He did his best to keep us interested & clearly has a passion for political science. VERY sweet guy!

Took me at least a month before I could understand his accent. Lectures are dry& slow, and ramjee is a little too accomodating (every idiot WILL interrupt & ramjee tolerates). Kind and friendly guy; it is impossible not to do well in his class if you put in a bit of effort. pray that he doesn't try to use any form of technology; it will not work.

best prof ive ever had at ubc...seriously the poli sci department has an wide assortment of unfriendly unhelpful professors ramjee is NOT one of them take any course with him and you'll end up taking them all-he's that good

Almost never went to class this semester. I'm a first year taking this for Coordinated Arts Program and I found it quite easy. The tutorial was what helped me the most, not to mention that my TA; Alana was quite hot. Great class, and the best is you can skip the lectures and do fine.

My favorite professor in UBC. He does have an accent and his lectures are not the most stimulating, but his clear and concise notes definitely make up for that. Also, he really cares about his students-makes every effort to reply to emails and is available anytime you need him. Also, he has the sweetest smile ever. :-p

really nice guy who will do anything to accomodate his students (guys a pushover). lectures are pretty boring and I sat through them all (why I dont know). Easy class, discussion groups are best part of the course, topics are great. Ariel is awesome TA (well prepared and knowledgable)

not as knowledgeable as some when it comes to international politics, basically reviews the content in the text, but, one of my favourite profs in the department. honestly cares about the subject matter and his students. going to class probably isn't necessary all the time but it's interactive and fun so why not?

Ramjee definately enjoys teaching. You can tell in the way he presents that he really cares both about what he's instructing AND about the students he is lecturing to. Don't take his class if you dislike 'asides'. Personally, though, I find the aside-from-the-main-point stories and information a good break from material that could be boring.

Ramjee is one the most caring profs at UBC. He really likes his students and tries to help in any way possible. Very organized and his accent is not a problem. Material is very basic - it is really an intro to international relations.

This has got to be one of my fav Poli class. Parajulee teaches very precisely and the notes are organized and course is well coordinated. Highly recommended.
