all you have to do is ask and richard will tell you so much. even more than you need to get your task done. he allows for students to work at their pace without bugging them, yet this can be a downfall because not everyone can accelerate themselves. personally i was able to gain a lot of knowledge from richard. loved his slides and his input.

totally amazing guy! he's a real big shot in the art world, but you sure wouldn't know it from his amazing personality. really one of my favorite people ever. never ever says anything hurtful, but also totally honest if that makes any sense. a real treat to have taken his class. his slides rock!

Professor Richard Shaw is not only THE BEST teacher I have ever had, he is one of the best human beings I have ever known. He is humble, he is genius (3d photo realism in clay!) and he loves teaching. He greatly encourages every student, but also give us room to breathe & create. He is also brutally honest - something you won't find elsewhere.
