Comment:
Awful professor. I was really looking forward to this class because students from previous years who were not taught by this professor told me how great it was. I was extremely disappointed. It's ridiculously unorganized, no clear learning objectives. No clear way to study for exams. This professor is a nice enough guy but cannot teach at all.

He doesn't teach you anything, his midterms are not based on lecture slides, or textbook. Don't take this course with him.

Horrible Prof, Doesn't teach you anything and expects you to have a background in everything (chem, bio, stats, calc) he doesn't spell very well and his assignments are riddled with mistakes. Focus on the textbook for studying because he spells major chemicals wrong and applies the same spelling in all his notes and slides.

Worse prof I have ever had. He teaches you almost nothing. Whatever he teaches you is not even on the exams which are impossible. Class average was a little over 50 on the midterm and he did not scale it. AVOID

Never take a course with him. He is insanely difficult and teaches you nothing. Assignments have nothing to do with anything. Please take my advice and avoid him.

When he teaches the course, it is a self taught course. If you are not good at math avoid him. He is easily one of the worse actual teachers I have had in three years. Half the class failed the midterm to boot.

He's a really nice person in general, but his class is super boring. Assignments are totally different from the midterm. Only up side was the midterm and final was open book. Not a class to take unless you're actually interested in statistics

He does seem to be really enthusiastic about Stats and tries his hardest to get the class involved, but his teaching style isn't great and his slides are USELESS!! Half the class failed the midterm, and attendance became minimal. Overall a nice guy but would avoid taking a stats class with him if you can, especially if stats isn't really your thing

Avoid this prof if you can. He's ancient and doesn't know the modern way to teach. His notes are all on overheads and they are illegible. He doesn't provide any help to those who ask for it and he is not sympathetic to the needs of his students. It's almost impossible to pass his course unless you get extra help. Worst prof I've ever had.

Good luck. Get yourself a tutor or be prepared to teach everything to yourself. He cannot explain anything clearly. Avoid him at all costs and take this with a prof who is reputable for teaching 302.

By far one of the WORST PROFESSORS I have had. He can't teach worth #@!%. He is just all over the place. He has no teaching script and just wings it Starts the semeste WITHOUT a quick review. just jumps into hard material and 90percent of the class is lost. AVOID THIS PROF!However, he is a nice guy, likes to talk about useless stuff time to time.

Rick is a pretty chill guy. The fact that he makes an effort to try and get to know everyone is rare. I especially enjoy his Christmas sweater with the reindeers prancing across it. You're in for a treat!

Rick is a fantastic teacher! His course is very interesting and he always willing to help. He goes out of his way to get to know his students, and coordinates field trips to make the course more interesting. A reasonable marker too. Expect some math if you're an arts person.

Interesting material that he shares through pictures and discusses with the class. Always wants feedback, open to comments. Midterm was a little unclear in questioning but the course was taught well.
