Comment:

Professor Hoff was a pretty easy going professor. He was up front about where in the book he drew his quizzes from and if you memorized those few questions you were good to go. He went over what to expect on the tests as well and did not make them too difficult. Only issue I had was how lecture heavy he was which made the class a little boring.

This class was a very easy A. Go to class because there is weekly quizzes but he gives you exactly what you need to know for the quizzes and the tests and you dont have to take the final if you're okay with your grade. take this class if you need an easy A

quizzes are at the end of class, if you skim the chapter you will pass easily. The study guides and review he does during class is extremely helpful, if you pay attention you will get an A. he is nice and willing to help you if you come to him. no homework was given. he does drop a quiz and an exam.

Awesome professor! I took this class one night a week after work this past spring, and it was my favorite class in the entire semester. Every class begins with a quiz over the assigned reading, but if you just skim the chapter, you will be fine. So, no, there is not an attendance policy, but your grade will hurt if you do not come. Great lectures!!

He is super easy. You could learn a lot from him if you chose to listen. If you don't pay any attention in lecture then you could still easily pass the course with a good grade. He gives you a study guide with all of the answers. You could study the day of and do fine. Take the class!

If you're looking for an easy gen ed credit, he's the guy to take. You don't really have to even listen during lectures. He gives you the questions/answers to the pop quizzes before you have them, and the study guides are EXACTLY like the test. VERY easy A, but if you don't show up for the weekly quizzes that could hurt your grade.

Comment:

Dr. Hoff is very monotone and keeping your attention in class is tough. This class is an EASY A if you can memorize. It definitely helped my GPA. Needed an easy class with my EngineeringMath classes. Professor is a good guy just lots of monotone lectures. If you show up for class you will pass - out early most classes.

Maps & Mapping. Easy A, had to be taken for my major. Material is simple. Show the week before the test and receive all you need to know. Tells too many war stories, but if he didn't we would only have class for 30 min. Final is cumulative and came straight from the previous tests.

This class is extremely boring but extremely easy. I took the night class and it ALWAYS got out an hour or more early. He gave quizzes every class but they were T/F and right from the book (so take pictures with phone) the exams were easy, just write the essays out before you go and use them. If you have an A by the 3rd test, you're done!

Very easy class. Quiz each week, but extremely easy, more just a way to take attendance. Study guides are provided the week prior to the tests and tell you everything you need to know. Hardest part of this class is not getting bored during the lectures and memorizing all the countries, but still this class was a breeze.

Mind-numbingly boring, but very easy. He basically gives you the answers before each test and they're word for word from the book. It was a night class and we rarely stayed past 6:30 or 7:00. I personally would have liked to be more challenged and really learn something, but he's just not that type of teacher. An easy A.

Such an easy class. He gives you a study guide before every exam. I haven't made below a 90 on any of them and I don't like geography. There's a quiz every class but only over one page in the book and the questions are True False. If you want an easy A, TAKE THIS CLASS.

Comment:

Night class that rarely stayed past 7 each night. Quizzes are given each week, so you need to attend class. The answers are usually in the front of each chapter. The week before the exam a study guide is given out and reviewed. The study guide is exactly what is on the exam. Study it and the maps, and you will get an A on each exam. Easy course.

Mr. Hoff is a nice guy. He knows his subject very well. T/F quizes at the end of each class, be sure to study the t/f section at the start of each chapter before class. He gives really good exam reviews. Don't take this class if you can't label Europe, South/Central America, and Africa. You will not do good. But if you can it is super easy.

Great teacher, well spoken, knows what he is talking about. If you're dreading a night class, this one is the one for you. You're never there past 7pm. If you are, it's because he is going over material for the exams. GO TO THOSE CLASSES, they are extremely helpful.
