Greatest teacher I have had thus far. I have been here 3 years and I am almost done. Anderson is hilarious, patient, incredibly intelligent, and teaches an outstanding class. Take anything this guy teaches, it's worth it!

Ryan's lectures are interesting and he invites questions and comments as long as they are on the subject. Take good notes and keep up with the reading assignments to be successful in his class. Be sure to review notes and skim over readings to refresh your memory before tests. He gave us a study guide for tests as well.

This class was AWESOME! Ryan did a great job keeping my attention, drawing conclusions from the book and tying both class and book material together during lecture. He used great examples and was realistic with his expectations of students.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this teacher. Based on first impressions he seemed kind of dull and strict to me, but he turned out to be very interesting and very funny. He grades on two tests only and they can be difficult, so you won't get an easy A, but you can earn one if you work hard. I just wish he taught other Anth classes too.

I didn't expect to enjoy his class, but I really did. His lectures were pretty interesting and he has a good sense of humor. He doesn't assign work, he just grades you on two tests- but he was nice enough to give an optional assignment for the people who did poorly on the first exam.

go to class, study the material. He uses the overhead excusively so don't go when you will be sleepy. no assignments-whole grade is 2 tests. Its possible to get an A but easy to fail if you do not put much effort into it. Not a class to skip-you can learn a lot 'tho, he is very passionate about this subject and a funny, nice guy.

There are no "assignments" for this class outside of the reading & 2 tests. I suggest doing the questions at the end of every chapter and reviewing them & your notes a couple of times a week. Ryan was a great instructor! He is matter of fact and funny, too!

Class is fun and intersting. His tests are VERY confusing. No textbook to reference if you do not understand. Grade is based off mid-term and final not good if you screw up on one. I found his class very stressful.
